Various Things(episode 9)

Wow there was alot of stuff that happened to me this week compared to the last two weeks which were very boring to say the least. This week I went and saw The Condemned, new episode I will be starting, NFL Draft, UFC:70, Amateur Boxing, and track and field. In saying that in honor of this weekend being the NFL draft I've decided to due my top ten greatest first round draft picks one for offense one for defense.

But first lets start off with the movie The Condemned which me and a couple of my buddies went and saw on Friday night and this movie was very well done especially the part that Stone Cold Steve Austin played, which was a guy that doesn't give a S***. The story of the movie is that a billionare takes 10 prisoners that are already on death row and puts them on an island and they have 30 hours to kill everyone the other prisoners and they will be set free if they do so but if they don't they have a bombed attached to there ankle which will go off when the time limit's up and kill them. It was a very well done movie I thought but the only complained I have is the ending which was kinda boloni, but what can you do I still give it a rating of 8/10.

Now as you can tell above that I have just rated the movie The Condemned and in doing this I will be rating movies every Wednesday night, it will be on any movie that I have seen or I want to review.

Next let's talk about what happened last Saturday at UFC:70 in Manchester which hadĀ a really stacked card that featured Englands own Micheal Bisping, the Belarus native Andrei Arlovski and the dangerous Mirko Cro Cop facing the great Gabriel Gonzaga. Well lets just say that Bisping destroyed Elvis Sinosic in the 2nd round with a TKO and Arlovski won a unamious decison over Fabriciono Werdum. So everything is going according to the plan right, wrong Mirko Cro Cop got KO by a head kick, which put him out for 1min and a half.

Ā

Now speaking of fighting I had my first amateur boxing match on Thursday night and I won by KO in the second round, I landed a vicious right hook that put him out I was very happy with my result and my next bout is on May the 10th. So I'm 1-0 with 1 KO, YEAH!!!!!!!!

Also this week track and field started and I currently do only three events, shotput, discus, javelin. For discus and javelin the furthest I have ever gone was to my County district. But for shotput last year I went to all Ontario with a throw of 14.67m, and this year I'm switching to the 12 pound ball which is heavier but I'm still putting it at around 13m which is pretty good if I say so myself.

Now enoungh about me yesterday was the holding of the 2007 NFL draft in New York, which saw alot of surprises like Brady Quinn dropping all the way to the 22nd pick in the first round, poor guy, and Troy Smith and Kevin Leak still haven't got picked and it's already the 4th round and there are both amazing QB's. Let me just tell you what were the top picks by teams in the first round, Jamarcus Russell(1st overall-Oakland), Calvin Johnson(Detroit), Brady Quinn & Joe Thomas(Clevland), Adrian Peterson(Minnesota), and Gaines Adams(Tampa Bay).

In honor of the NFL draft I have decided to choose the top ten greatest first round draft picks of all time from offense and defense.OFFENSE-10-John Elway,9-Dan Marino,8-Jerome Bettis,7-Troy Aikman,6-Jerry Rice,5-4-Emmitt Smith,3-Micheal Irvin2-LaDainian Tomlinson,1-Peyton Manning

DEFENSE-10-Takeo Spikes,9-Albert Haynesworth,8-Lavar Arrington,7-John Henderson,6-Champ Bailey,5-Julius Peppers,4-Deion Sanders,3-Troy Polamalu,2-Brian Urlacher,1-Ray Lewis

Various Things(episode 8)

What is up gamespot? It's me ET with another text blog, I know that I've been promising a video blog but since my webcam doesn't have any sound I kinda can't and with no money to buy a microphone it's not going to happen for a while at least. Anyways this week hasn't been all that busy for me, my satellite went out for the entire week and I couldn't watch any TV but luckily it came back on today just in time for UFC 70 tonight in Manchester, England. So basically this week I've been playing alot of MLB 2006 and started a career as a pitcher and the career mode in this game is very well done, as you can be traded when you thought you were in good with a team then get traded. I also said that I would write an in-depth prediction for the UFC events but the UFC event is starting here in 2 min and I really don't have time to do it. So I'll just let you know tomorrow or later tonight who won and will see what happens. And that's all for me this week so keep on gaming

Virginia Tech Massacre

Hey gamespot how's everyone doing? Just wondering if you heard about the Virginia Tech Massacre, that's some pretty F-UPED s*** going on there. I guess he killed like 33 people and injured 29, and it's the biggest campus massacre ever. And the guy to do it a Korean guy name Cho Sheung-Hui with 2 guns a 19mm clock and a 22mm pistol that was semi-automatic. Just wanted to know what you guys thought about that, and also would like to tell you that my videos probably won't be happening now until I get a job which won't be for a while, which sucks but I will still be writing an episode of Various Things.

Various Things(episode 7, please comment)

Hey gamespot as you can tell that this week's episode is in a text blog due to the fact that I can't get no sound on my webcam so maybe sometime this week I'll go out and buy a headset or a new webcam for $20. Anyways this week wasn't at all exciting I only really have one thing to talk about and that's God of War 2 and I really don't want to get into that because I plan on doing a review for it soon. And it's kind of a let down that my webcam is being a little biatch but hey maybe next weekend hopefully. Sorry guys.

Delayed and Banner suggestions.

I found out today after I finally reached level 10 that my webcam doesn't have sound so I have to go and buy a microphone and I was very un happy with that. But I did beat God Of War 2 today and I will most likely be doing a review on it sometime soon. I was also hoping to find someone to help me with a good banner for my profile.

I finally got God of War2

Hey guys just wanted to tell you that I finally went out and bought God of War 2 for $49.99 at Blockbuster and I just finished the first part of it and it's awesome.

NHL Round 1*Please comment(Part 2)

(1) Detroit-This team is exactly like the Buffalo sabres just of the west and they have a good team that will score countless times but don't really have a solid goaltender.

( 8 ) Calgary-One of the 3 canadian teams in these playoffs and the one team that has the most heart throughout the playoffs, they also have the best home record in the NHL meaning if they play at home expect them to win.

I Think that Calgary is going to have there way with the Red Wings on alot of heart and determination.

(2)Anaheim-They will look to make there run that they have made over the last couple of years in going to the conference final and the stanley cup final, with the two top defensemens in the league and a young core team.

(7)Minnesota-They had the best defense in the NHL this season and had a fairly good offense with guys like Gaborik and Rolston they will look to make there own run in this years playoffs.

Minnesota will take this series because they have a very solid team and the last 9 seasons in the playoffs the 7 seeded team has upset the 2 seeded team.

(3)Vancouver-Will Luongo in his first ever playoffs and with a rejuivinated Canucks squad they will look to do some damage throughout these playoffs.

(6)Dallas-Also have a goaltender who different from Luongo has been in the playoffs alot but has had a tendecy to screw up so look for him to make a statement.

Vancouver will prove to be too much for Dallas and will capture the series.

(4)Nashville-One of the surprising teams this year and even more surprising when they picked up Peter Forsberg at the deadline and they will look to use there speed and determination.

(5)San Jose-With guys like Thorton, Guerin,Cheechoo and Boyes they will have an offense that very few teams in the playoffs will be able to stop.

I think San Jose will take this series just due to the fact that they have too much power for Nashville to handle.

So there you have it my picks for round 1 of th playoffs and after round 2 I will be picking as well so hope you agree.

NHL Round 1*Please comment(Part 1)

Well as most of you guys know it's that time of the year again it's the race for the greatest trophy in all of sports the Stanley Cup, this year in the quest there are so many good match-ups in the first round it's redonkulous. In this blog I would like to give my picks on whos going to win this round and why.

(1)Buffalo-The best team in the NHL this season with a goaltender who posted 40wins and also 4, 30 goal scorers and there has only been two other teams that have had these numbers and both times they won the cup. They also com with alot of speed, skillĀ and determination.

( 8 )NY Islanders-A team that made it into the playoffs on a last minute shootout effort that won them the game and got them in by one point, over the beloved Maple Leafs. Look for the Islanders to bring alot of grit and with the aquistion of Ryan Smyth alot of goals.

This Match-up belongs to the Buffalo Sabres who will just prove to be too much for the Islanders.

(2)New Jersey-Has the best goaltender in the league in Matin Brodeur and also play a level of hockey that can't be matched by there opponents, there are also the most experienced team in the playoffs which means alot in the playoffs.

(7)Tampa Bay-The Lightning have the leagues number one goal scorer with 52 goals in Vinny Lecavalier who along with St.Louis and Prospal also prove to be a threat, they did win the cup back in '04 and look to make a run again this year.

This is going to be a good series with the leagues top goal scorer against the leagues top goalie but in the end it will be New Jersey taking it.

(3)Atlanta-A very interesting team to say the least they have a good young goalie who is going to have to have a great playoff for them to make it anywhere, and they will need Marian Hossa to step up.

(6)NY Rangers-Another interesting team that will also have to rely on young goaltending and the great play of there captain Jarmoir Jagr who is going to have to play like he did back in Pittsburgh.

The Rangers will win this series just because Atlanta doesn't seem like they want to be there.

(4)Ottawa-A team that has so much raw talent to be the best in the NHL, which they have been in the last couple of years, however they are not a playoff team and they will need to definetly need to turn it around this year if they want to win the cup.

(5)Pittsburgh-The Penguins are a mirror image of Ottawa just younger, faster and better, they have a better goalie in Fleury and have two of the deadliest rookies in Malkin and Stall, watch out for this team.

This is with out a doubt the best first round match-up and this could possibly go to a game 7 but look for Pittsburgh to pull it out with Crosby.

My Debut!!!!!

Hey gamespot just wanted to let you guys know that my video blog debut will be most likely on saturday, can't wait hope that you guys stop by and check it out.
