The game deserved to sell poorly. It had more than its share of bad controls, a bad camera, bad AI, and overall glitches. The fact that places like this site glossed over those things and still gave it a 9 is disgraceful.
In addition, SFV (which came out just before the 9 month period started) flopped big time. It didn't come close to the game's own goals that capcom wanted, and it doesn't have anywhere NEAR the success or praise of SF4. That's what they get for holding content back and making it partly exclusive.
All the freebies and double xp events won't make this game better than Smite. Not only does Smite offer more to begin with, but it gets updated about twice a month with significant content.
You gotta love how sony fanboys are in full damage control mode with this whole "bottle-necking" business. Apparently, the aspect of making a game that works well on two different systems is too much for their tiny brains to comprehend. It makes you wonder what would happen if you showed them a 4k PC version of a game that's only 1080 or lower on ps4. Would their heads explode?
Played it during the beta a long time ago and had a lot of fun with it, but stopped for awhile so more content could come in and let some major bugs get fixed.
