Sony promoted this game like it was the second coming of Christ from beginning to end. There's no way they didn't know prior to launch that the product wasn't ready. It was a $60 game that should have been $30 at most, had tons of missing features, and a large number of glitches. Now that they've squeezed as much money from people as they can they then shift their opinion to try and match what gamers are saying just so they can sound like the good guy, like a sociopath that fakes human emotion to get people to trust them.
These apologetic comments from companies only amount to something if they learned their lesson. In this case, the lesson is that you should do some research and follow-ups with developers on the product that you are promoting to make sure it is of good quality. These are the same people that promoted Driveclub when it released at a horribly broken state, promoted SFV with missing features, and promoted 7 Days to Die which might be the most horrific port of any game I have ever played (insane amounts of glitches, missing content, bad performance, etc.) Sounds to me like Sony never learned their lesson, and I doubt they ever will.
@howthegodzkill: Xbox seems to be selling just fine, especially the last few months. These deals will make it sell even better. If the deals end up being as good as last year, it may outsell the ps4 even WITH the pro coming out. :)
@jako998: Exclusives usually get buried due to the excessive amounts of third-party AAA juggernauts that come out at the end of the year. The fact that it was able to stay in the fray even with games like BF1, FIFA, and Titanfall is pretty impressive. FH3 is still doing well a month after release, too.
@gamerbum: The beauty of console gaming is knowing that games are guaranteed to work (outside of rare instances where a crappy developer releases a shady project like with 7dtd). You have no idea how many games I've bought on PC that wouldn't work for one reason or another, which then led to several hours of installing random drivers or messing with folders. Sometimes I still couldn't get the game to work and it's not like I have obscure or outdated components.
I just want to get home, sit down, and play a game. Consoles let me do that. With PC, it's a gamble.
