It amazes me how dumb and hypocritical people can be. Scorpio is designed for people that like having greater than usual performance in their games and where money isn't an issue (a.k.a. people with a job that's not minimum wage). If those things don't matter or apply to you, then the slim version works just fine. You choose which version is best for you, hence the whole talk about getting rid of generations.
Meanwhile, companies are putting out peripherals like VR that cost $600+ IN ADDITION to having to buy a system for it, and the same people that go around praising VR are suddenly pulling the "price" card here. Odds are the Scorpio will cost as much as a single VR unit, except the Scorpio will be able to run games on it's own and with much better performance. You'd think people would be more excited about that rather than strapping a screen to your eyes.
This is the first time in well over a decade that somebody is making a significant leap forward instead of putting something out that is barely an improvement over the last one. People that are complaining about price need to wake up and realize that good hardware and real progress aren't going to be a couple hundred dollars.
@reduc_ab_: It sold on hype alone and came out just a week ago, so those numbers aren't impressive. I doubt many people will be playing it a month from now, especially now that people know Sean Murray is full of BS.
@CallMeDuraSouka: I don't know how best to describe it, but TF was fluid as can be on console. The control felt much tighter than any BF or COD game I had played. Respawn definitely knew what they were doing.
I'm looking forward to both betas as well. August will be a fun month. :)
@vrocka: You must not have played 7DTD for semi-long periods of time then. There is a well-known memory leak currently that happens around 5-6 in-game days if played in one sitting. It's one of the top complaints on the bug report forum along with the half a second frame drop that happens every 5-10 seconds, neither of which were fixed in the last patch.
But I digress. I doubt the NMS freezing issues are a problem for just 1%. Most people don't go rushing to forums to report stuff when it goes wrong. At most, they might try to find a post of some sort that shows the developer is aware of the issue and that's it. From what I've heard (and seen on live streams), this game has some major crash issues.
@Thanatos2k: Given how religious you are about trashing companies in every article you can find, I'd say you are the one that feels threatened. Every time an article comes out that provides evidence against your troll posts, you end up making about 30-40 posts a day trying to desperately convince people your way of thinking.
In addition, you are completely blind to your own hypocrisy. This article isn't much different than when sony said they sold out of the psvr, in which sony never gave numbers. Did you blast sony the same way you did here? No, of course you didn't. Because that was a Sony article and this is an MS article.
@Mirimon78: The only way you would know what all the stores had sold is if you visited or contacted them. I have a hard time believing that.
By the way, remember when sony said they "sold out" of psvr's? They didn't give any sales figures on those. Are you making the same comments on psvr articles that you are making here?
Without looking, I'm going to take a guess at which trolls made their typical useless comments because they always get so butt-hurt when MS does something well.
