What piss me off about these DEMO shots is the lack of color, When i play the demo, it looks more vibrant and the details stick out more. Its why i don't use them.
First of all lets not jump to conclusions on Uncharted 2 being a graphics king because that makes no sense after seeing what Killzone 2 has had to offer. The pictures in the Game Informer do look pretty damn amazing though when your reading the actual magazine. The screenshots you posted of Resident Evil 5 are not in game (its close though lol), and I can vouch for that as I've also played through the demo. RE5 does look absolutely phenomenal though and it will probably look even better upon release, I just hope they update the animations a bit more as it still feels eerily similar to RE4.
The one thing that impresses me about Uncharted 2 the most though, is that its at least 4-5 months away from launching and it already looks highly polished and a bit better then the first. The original is still console graphics king in my book, with Metal Gear Solid 4 and Gears 2 in a very close second and third.
So far 09 looks like the year that console graphics get taken to a totally different level, as developers are now showing their familiarity with the hardware.
09 thus far stacks up as
1) Killzone 2
2) Uncharted 2
3) Resident Evil 5
Honorable Mentions- Heavy Rain and Alan Wake: I haven't seen much of either other then a couple small gameplay snippets and a lot of pictures. I've seen a bit more on Heavy Rain and if they continue what their doing, that could easily take any of the top 3 spots. Alan Wake looked fantastic.....2 years ago. lol I haven;t really seen or heard anything on it since last year so I really hope that game is able to deliver the goods as Remedy is a great developer.

Those ARE in-game and off-engine...capcom don't touch up there games or use anything but in-game gameplay shots. You want gameplay?
The game looks this good...yes the shots do have added AA and better color as most PR shots (since they're still screens)...but the game's DETAIL and overall looks are just as good, atleast on MY Full HD 1080p set.

From what I see in these scans, RE5 still looks better. Not to take anything away from Uncharted 2, because it still looks nice, but just not on the same level as RE5, methinks. Then again, Killzone 2 has 'em all beat.
