I think it has been tuned a bit so it's less likely to happen, not sure..haven't played it. Its NOT a big problem IMO.

Far cry 2 is bad, IMO and really disspointed with it.

its basically GTA in africa, so damn repetative, get mission kill this guy and repeat.

only good thing was the graphics, very impressive.

This game will be so great!!!!

Im reading some reviews and i think we have console graphics king here:

videogamer - "Gears 2 is without doubt the most impressive-looking console game we've ever seen."

IGN - "Fantastic looking characters inhabit splendid worlds that feel truly alive. You'd be hard pressed to find a better looking game anywhere. Now if only they could fix the texture and framerate issues."

Well, all of us know that crysis looks better but its great news to console/gears fans :D

PAL360

Untill RE5 comes along. ;)

apparently they think GEOW2 has a better story than MGS4 and better graphics than Crysis, LOL.

8.8 - gears 2 for story. :|

8.7 - MGS4 for story.

Crysis Warhead got a 9.2 for Presentation, yet, Gear 2 recieved an 9.8:lol:

RE4 on cube, buddy...better controls, IMO.

BTW, RE4 > ANY current gen game. Funny too, RE4 influenced most current gen titles...just look at the majority of 3rd person shooters, using its exact camera perspective. ;)

No way. Dead Space will no effect on RE5, even if it was the exact same game simply because of the RE name.

Really I think the only possible way anything bad happens to RE5 is if it's way too different from RE4 and a media backlash of sorts occurs.

Ren_eko

On the contrary, if indeed RE5 is too similar to RE4 it may flop and may not receive the mass critical acclaim that RE4 received. (been there, done that) Although RE5's graphics are amazing, I've seen a lot of rehash animations that are exactly the same as those found in RE4, a lack of physics, and hit response those not help either. And some if not all of the enemies of RE5 react very similar to those in RE4, just with different skins. But it won't matter because fans will eat it up, so it should sell well.

yet it isn't stopping Gears of War 2..going by reviews...lol.

RE5 has unique game eliments YET to be shown, add better graphics, awesome story, online co-op..it can easily be a better game. its a wait and see thing. Capcom arn't showing us everything, interviews state this. But honestly, RE4 was dam good, RE5 will stick to the basics, as did RE2 RE3 codeveronica, etc. RE4 did a major change from the get go, why would they do it again? considering it works?

the whole "it looks like RE4 talk" makes no sense, look at Halo 3, Gears 2....and majority of sequals...gsus!

Except most fans didnt like the no moving or strafing while aiming from the get go, while Halo and Gears have proven and solid gameplay that the fans like.

If you ask anyone that played RE4 what was its biggest flaw , most will say it was the no moving or strafing while aiming(I know i hated it) and with a big increase in the numbers of enemies on screen that flaw is just going to stand out a lot more.

you serious?

what fans, RE4 was praised greatly and won many awards for its time, OBVIOUSLY at the time many didn't care and still don't, considering the scores and impressions of RE4, It's just a purely awesome. NOW for today's standards it, there is complaints, considering comepitition, THOSE complains come from the usual shooter nuts, problem is, RE5 isn't a pure action game, Making chris RUN and GUN, would make the game WAYYY to easy, considering the enemies, RE5 doesn't have villians with Guns.

RE5 doesn't need it.

RE5 should having moving and shooting at the same time instead of the archaic way RE4 did it. The people at Capcom say its to keep the intensity and horror intact, but honestly, the game really doesn't have either, just a dated control scheme.

fakecliche

Thank god you're not the managing director for this game.

Same goes for you. By the time RE5 drops, it'll be Gears of Evil. Mark my words! :D

gears of evil? Ironic, since if it wasn't for RE4, gears wouldn't be the game it is now.

RE5 doesn't have a cover system nor does chris move and shoot....lol. besides the "shooter" controls being added, its NOTHING like gears.

I'm just thinking because of Dead Space people are going to go to RE5 and go like "Why can't I shoot and move at the same time?", "Why cant they give me directions that doesn't require me to break into the menu all the time", or like RE4 "Why do all these enemies function the same basic way?" or "Why do I have to play tetris to make my items fit?"

All these things that Dead Space has corrected, would that make reviewers think that RE5's gameplay seems dated?

insanejedi

2 different games, based on the enemies you fight. If it wasn't for you being able to move in DS you'd be DEAD. and as for the menu, sometimes YOU HAD TO GO TO IT to recharge an ability, etc.

If you could run and shoot in RE5, it would just be TOO easy. like i said, its to keep tention, and really tho, in real life you would stand still and shoot, for better acuracy...right?

I thought that Capcom announced a couple of months ago they were in fact changing the combat, so that you could move Chris while shooting?

Nope, Chris WON'T move and shoot at the same time, reasons being, they want to keep tention.
