bad graphics? look closer, i see great detail...it isn't the graphics you hate, but the ninja gaiden feeling. Big deal. IMO, it looks interesting, better reserve judgement, the game isn't out anytime soon.

love it how cliffy loves to show his face in any gears vid, so when people think of gears, cliffy comes to mind. his ego must be through the roof, no mirror has gone untouched by him, lol.

anyways, game looks insane..fun as hell. Hope the story isn't too cheesy this time around. but meh, gameplay is what counts.

And then u shouldn't be hyping Killzone 2 because is just the same but with first person perspetive..cover shoot cover shoot..just like you said.MojondeVACA

sorry didnt realise killzone 2 was heavily focusing on the cover aspect. i must have missed when it went from a fps to a tps :|

Its one of the strongest element of the game (if i wasnt why they bothered adding it?),now dont try to spin it.

''Killzone 2 features a cover system named "lean and peek" which allows the player to take cover behind an object, and then pop out to fire at enemies. The "lean and peek" mechanic stays in first person view at all times.''

comparing a fps to a tps is like comparing a platformer to a racer. two very different genres.

You're hating on Gears and Uncharted gameplay mechanics..but u hype KZ2 when its cover system is basically the same but with first person perspetive.

K2's doesn't rely on heavy cover as Gears 2, its mearly just added for realism, in Gears of war... cover is a MUST otherwise your dead.

they arn't that different, mainly a perspective difference, but the overall game and how it plays is different.

lol, love when people get excited and start stating stuff they might reconsider later, and putting them in there sigs, cute.

anyways, looks stunning, the burmack riding isn't surprising, saw it coming. but again, to judge graphics wait untill we play it, these are small video's that can hide some of the flaws, etc.

can't wait to play online.

I love MGS4, but I definitely see MGS3 as the superior game. Some people thought the "Westernization" was a good thing, I have to disagree. To me, Metal Gear Solid was about it's heavy dose of cutscenes and it's mechanics. MGS4 felt to much like a TPS. That said, playing through on The Boss difficulty somewhat rectified that.XaeroGravity

how was it westernized? it just changed a camera system/perspective when playing, something a lot of games ripped off from RE4 a japanese game.

MGS3 had the exact amount of action, you can play just like, MGS4, but from the classic 3rd person perspective.

How do people hate this game? i love it...its addictive fun, realistic and Niko's a much more loveable character. I can spend all day just going around pulling stunts and shooting random people with a rocket launcher.

people need to lower there standards, technically theres no game out like it, its visually impressive (360 version atleast) and just fun.

I think it's because GTA IV went realistic. From what I played of the last games (I only fully played Vice City), it felt more slapstick and tongue-in-cheek, like a watered down version of Saint's Row 2. Personally, I love GTA IV. I think it's worthy of most, if not all of its praise, and the only things that I think are a real bother is the targeting system. Apparently it's lots better than the GTA III trilogy, so I guess I'm glad they fixed it because even so it makes me fail missions sometimes.

But apart from that, it's great. The last time I "played" GTA IV I got sidetracked and spent over an hour just surfing the internet in the game looking at all the parodies. It's also amazing how they use the internet, TV, radio etc to make the world feel alive and respond to your actions. The attention to detail in the city is definitely second to none. Every nook and cranny has been carefully added just to make the entire city look nice.

I think you're right that people need to lower their standards. Seriously, everything's a let down nowadays for some strange reason. Halo 3, Ratchet and Clank, Metal Gear Solid 4 (to those few people out there), Assassin's Creed, and for the future we've got Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts and Fallout 3 on "failure" lockdown. It's just incredibly pathetic. Most if not all those games delivered fantastic experiences worthy of their predecessors and then some, though I can see why people dislike Assassin's Creed. Nevertheless, that game could not have been done last gen.

I feel the only real let down has been Mass Effect. With a fake conversation system, the ability to go full paragon and renegade, and a derivative plot, the game that was suppose to be Bioware's triumph free form any restrictions from a license turned out to be a turd. It's enjoyable, sure, but it actually took a step back in all aspects (save graphics) from its predecessors.

god, you just summed up exactly how i feel...do i know you? LOL....kidding.

seriously, tho...the game did what it did and it kept that GTAIV feeling, IMO yes its more realistic, but how is that bad? I went back to playing the previous ones and i just can't after GTAIV, they feels clunky and unbalanced (hard to explain) maybe due to the animation system of GTAIV, just so satisfying and much more better, which really, really adds to the fun and replay value.

I can't count how many times i got side tracked during a mission, just to step out of a car and cause choas and send niko flying out of mid-air during a stunt, just to see him react LOL. lets not forget about online multiplayer. the overall package, GTAIV delivered on, it managed to make everything well balanced.

I were also dissapointed with MGS4, but that's because I haven't played the other Metal Gear games. I just couldn't get into the story and I thought the gameplay wasn't stealthy enough.Cyberfairy

play it without being spotted, once...its been done before and i'm half way through it. it isn't easy. using nothing but stun guns or tranqualizers and combat, to get passed.

MGS is a stealth game and a good one, just depends on how u play it.

you should have also beaten the previous ones, otherwise 4 is a blur, storywise.

Never have i seen such well done story telling done through cutscenes, its like a hollywood movie, but more deeper. it blew me away and it has a heavy felling to it, pretty emotional..and thats what Kojima-Sun wanted to achieve. gameplay is different, while much more engaging and better, i was kinda let down by the lack of good moves, one being the classic neck breaker, it wasn't there.

but all in all, the game was incredible, from the boss battles, story telling and gameplay, it was the whole package.

Your complaint while valid, is just another cutscene bashing one. you can't deny the story and just how well done it was.

but after saying all this, i prefered MGS3's gameplay and overall enviromental settings/war stories. i loved being able to sneak behind a guy using the dpad to softly sneak and then grab them and interigate the enmie, including breaking there neck, etc.

it worked good for MGS3 setting, but have Snake do it in MGS4 (neck slitting) seemed misplaced, as he wasn't that type of guy as big boss.

but yeah, my 2 cents.

What ever, you guy's believe what you want, all i know is that when the 60-gig PS3's were the only ones on the market Sony only had a 3% hardware failure rate to Microsofts 17% at the time.

Today Sony has a 12% failure rate to Microsofts 9%, so you guy's believe what ever you want, and when your new PS3 breaks down you'll go and switch to 360's and then come in here and most likely change your User names to avoid the embarrassment.
