Chief - undeniably!

He's been with MS since the start, he IS the face of Microsoft.

Marcus, despite being in a cool (albeit frustratingly short) game, doesn't have the credentials of Master Chief for his achievments with Microsoft.

Nintendo = Mario
MS = Master Chief
Sega = Sonic
Sony is harder...I'd go for Cloud being the face of Sony - but there aren't a lot of strong characters regularly associated with them.

An epic game in similar light to STALKER and Deus Ex. Except bigger, much bigger, planet-wide setting. Temporary allegiances  with groups, colonies, etc. All the stuff you see in the movies - except NOT BASED ON THE GODDAMN MOVIES! Translations dont work dammit!

To be precise:

PC Gamer says of C&C3:

" 'A welcome but limited return'

It is: Bullet Swift, Gone Hollywood, Highly entertaining
It isn't: Clever, technically advanced, over reaching."
82% - Kaned.

They say of STALKER:

" 'Approaches critical mass, doesn't blow'

Its: Enormous, buggy, atmospheric
It isnt: The Hype, nearly as buggy as youd expect, monster-stuffed"
87% - Rad.

As it goes, the review says STALKER is very ambitious, but not quite as what it was first made out to be - sacrifices have had to be made on the way.

If anyone is interested, PC Gamer mag have reviewed C&C3 and STALKER, C&C scored in the mid 80's and STALKER got into the high 80s.

PC gaming is definitely not dying. The intuitive control system for FPS with KB and Mouse will keep FPS's locked into it, RTSs will also be kept on PC (console ones dont work...usually anyway, just too slow), and Multiplayer in any game will keep online thriving along with a mod community.

[QUOTE="F4ll3n_1"]

[QUOTE="Large_Soda"]I think that the main problem is that we all have Attention Deficit Disorder and cannot stay interested in a game for very long.wreak

Thats one solution :p and its probably right, but, no doubt, nobody will stay interested enough to find out. Im not usually into blaming media for anything, but maybe TV adverts have some blame here, as soon as the adverts come on, what happens? You flick to something else. All I wanna do is watch my sodding program start to finish, you can have the adverts BETWEEN PROGRAMS not between parts! Maybe thats the reason we can't stay focussed on anything, adverts pee us off too much :D

actually thats how TV works in alot of europe and japan. just program, and then like 10 mins of comercials at the end, it's pretty sweet, caus 10 mins is like the perfect amount of time to go to the store, or make a snack inbetween shows.

The BBC channels in the UK work like that as well, in fact, they hardly have any adverts at all, but theyre like the biggest TV company in Britain. Sky 1/2/3 are the worst I think, they play 5 minutes of program, have 5 minutes of adverts, then play 50 minutes of program, then have 10 minutes of commercials and then play the last measly five minutes of program....then more adverts till the next program.
