My classes start this Wednesday, unfortunately. I hope I had a few more months of vacation. As usual, I'll try to find time to play games.

This past night I had a really weird dream. In the dream people were running away from me, they're all afraid of me. I was like "why the hell are they afraid of me?" It turns out I was being accused of murdering somebody and the police was after me. All of a sudden cops started showing up from nowhere but fortunately the dream ended before they had a chance to arrest me.

Freaky stuff...

I've finally reached 2000 posts! Let's party!!!

On boy, school starts on the 12th... I feel like I needed 3 months instead of 3 weeks of break. Pretty much all I did so far during this Winter break was navigating on the net, watching TV and of course playing games (is there anything better than that?). This Spring I'm not taking any general ed courses, just courses of my major and I have to get ready for my senior recital.

Hopefully I'll do better than I did last semester, it would be really nice if I could improve my GPA.

I've written 2 more reviews in the past week - MK: Deadly Alliance and Red Faction 2. I'll probably write a review for 007 Nightfire after I finish the game. I'm also thinking about writing reviews for Ace Combat 5, Capcom Fighting Evolution (I'm not sure about this one, I'll see how my gaming experience goes for this game ) and Street Fighter 3: Third Strike (yes, just Third Strike, I'm not a old school player so I don't think I should write a review for Hyper Street Fighter 2).

I like writing reviews but sometimes I'm just too lazy to do it. I've written 8 reviews so far and I'm planning on writing more. Feedback for those reviews would be greatly appreciated. :)

I played CFE last night and I tried Darkstalkers and Red Earth characters for the first time. I loved playing with Demitri and Jedah, they have some pretty nasty chain combos. The other characters were OK but not great. I also tried the SF Alpha and SF3 characters. The SF Alpha in this game are OK but there are some other much better characters that should have in this game. As for SF3, I'd say stick with SFAC; playing the original SF 3rd Strike is much better than playing this game. I'm getting more used to the game's controls, they're not as responsive as in CvS2 or GGX2 but I think I can get over it. CFE isn't a bad game but unless you're a hardcore fighting game fan I'd recommend that you rent it first. The game is OK but it could have been a lot better if there were more characters, stages, improved characters sprites and so forth.

I was playing 007 Nightfire last night (mission 9 - Deep Descent) and I just gave up on it. I went all the way through the mission, passed all those mines but ended up dying at the end because of that big sub's torpedo's. That happened again a few times and the thing that really got on my nerves is that in that mission there are no checkpoints whatsoever. That means that I would die at the end of the mission and then I'd have to go all the way back to the beginning of the mission. The game is great, has great gameplay, great multiplayer modes but not having quick save or checkpoints really sucks. Anyways, I'd try to pass that mission sometime today.

I got Capcom Fighting Evolution today from GameFly and I played it for about an hour. So far my impressions of the game are bad overall. I only tried a few characters. The controls arent' very responsive, sometimes I had to try the same move 3 or 4 times before finally pulling it off. Unlike other people said, the graphics aren't that bad; the stages look pretty good and the characters although they could look better they are OK. Based on what I've played so far I'd say that Zangief's grabbing moves are nearly unblockabe and they can counter basically everything. Also, the fact that the games doesn't have more characters, stages and game modes is certainly make the game less interesting for a lot of players.

I got Red Faction 2 this morning. I had rented it and I really liked it so I decided to buy it. It isn't better than Time Splitters 2 but it's still a pretty good game. I ordered today 007 Nightfire and Extreme G-3 (AKA XG3 Extreme G-Racing) they're pretty cheap at Ebay so I decided to give them both a try. I'm also watching Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando and Street Fighter Anniversary Collection at Ebay and depending of how high the price goes I'll buy them as well.

I sent Moto GP3 back to GameFly this morning and the next game on my list is Ace Combat 5 followed by Capcom Fighting Evolution. There are other games I want to buy but I'll probably wait until the price drops down since I'm far away from being rich.

This morning I took my last final. It was pretty long, it contained material we covered during the entire semester and I'm not sure if I did well. Anyways, no more worries about school stuff until January, so until then it will be gaming season. I bought a few games during Thanksgiving and also there are several games on my rent list from GameFly. I'll play games as much as I can during this Christmas break
