School is almost over, yeah!!!

It has been more than a week since the last time I posted something in my journal. I was really busy this past week with concerts, exams, etc, but thank God now I only have 2 finals left: one tomorrow and one on Tuesday. After Tuesday until classes start again in January I'll probably spend most of my time playing games and on the internet. I bought some games during Thanksgiving but I didn't have much time to play any of them; for most of them I only played for about 30 minutes-1hr. Fortunately, I'll have lots of time to play during Christmas break.

Yesterday I finished Red Faction 2. The single player is good but I'll probably buy it because of the multiplayer mode. There is a total of 40 maps (8 for CTF and 32 for all the other modes), about 20 different weapons, up to 4-players with multitap and some good game modes. Although Red Faction 2 isn't as good as Time Splitters 2 it's still a good game and I think it's worth it buying.

Moto GP3 is on its way from GameFly. I don't have any moto racing game so I decided to give this one a try. It supports the multitap so if it turns out to be a good game I could play it with my friends. In my rent list, the next game is 007: Nightfire followed by Extreme G-3. I'll probably send Red faction 2 back to GameFly tomorrow so I can get the next game on my list.

My review for Ace Combat 04 is up

I've finally written a review for Ace Combat 04. I meant to have done that a long time ago but I have been really too lazy (and also busy with schoolwork, games, etc). I'd really apreciate if other people could read it and than send me a PM with some feedback, what you liked about the review, what you didn't like, what could improve, if there's something I left out, etc. Any feedback will greatly apreciated.

Gaming updates 11/28/04

This past week I spent most of my time playing NFSU2. I rented it from Gamefly and I wanted to make a good use of it. It isn't a bad game but it isn't great either (I still prefer NFS:HP2). I'll be sending it back to Gamefly tomorrow so I can get the next game on my list.

I got Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution and Soul Calibur this past week. I played VF4E for about 2 hrs yesterday and I played SC2 for about 1/2 hr today. They both seem to be great games, the gameplay is very good and the graphics are amazing. Those games will probably keep me away from MKDA for a while.

Also, there are a few more games that I've order and that should be in my mailbox soon: DOA2: Hardcore, Tekken TT, SF Alpha 3, and Midnight Club 1 (I decided to buy this one because it was $15 and included a controller). All those games should be more than enough to keep me busy for Christmas break.

KOF 2001should be in my mailbox sometime this week (I rented it from Gamefly). The next titles in my Gamefly list are Red Faction 2, ATV Offroad Fury, MotoGP3 (one of the reasons I decided to try out these three games is because they support multitap), Midnight Club 2 and Dragonball Z: Budokai 3. There are more games in my list but I decided to try those four games first.

I'll be really busy in the next two weeks buy hopefully I'll have time to play at least on the weekends.

My Thanksgiving activities

As usual, I'm staying in the dorm during this Thanksgiving. Yesterday I went to one of my teacher's house with some friends to have dinner. It was really good. After dinner I started working on a paper for one of my music classes (the paper is due on Tuesday 11/30, which shows I'm really a slacker when it comes to schoolwork). I'm working on my paper and practing cello and violin during the day and playing games at night.

I got Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution and Soul Calibur 2 last Wednesday but I've played VF4E only for about 30 minutes and I haven't played SC2 at yet. I've spent most of my time playing NFSU2 (I rented it from GameFly and I'm deciding whether I should buy it or not). Dead or Alive 2: Hardcore and Tekken Tag Tournament should be in my mailbox sometime next week but I don't think I'll have time to play all those games until finals week is over.

Right now I'm working on my paper and I'm doing my best to finish ASAP so I can use the rest of my time to play games. I can't wait until Christmas break, I'm tired of schoolwork, rehearsal, recitals, etc; hopefully I'll spend a lot of time playing games during Christmas break.

NFSU2 updates 11/24/04

Last night I played NFSU2 for a few hours and I unlocked some more stuff. I got the game last Monday and so far I've finished 28 events. I played with a friend of mine and we tried out all of the modes except for outrun mode (it was still locked). I haven't played it online yet but I'm planning on doing so very soon (I got get a decent car with decent parts first).
If compared to NFS:HP2 (my favorite racing game so far) in NFSU2 the cars are a little less stable, they slide on the road very easily and that can be a pain in the butt sometimes. There's more variety in the tracks if compared to NFSU1 and the fact that you can replay events is a really nice feature. Driving around the city is nice but can be boring sometimes, there are races that don't show on the map and shops don't show on the map until you find them.
Anyways, I'll be playing this game during this Thanksgiving break and I'll try to get at least 50% of the events finished before Sunday, because next weel I'll be very busy with schoolwork.

New games on their way!!!

This past weekend I bought 3 new games: Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution, Dead or Alive 2: Hardcore, and Soul Calibur 2. I've been more into 3D fighting lately and I thought it would be interesting trying out those games. They should be in my mailbox sometime next week.

NFSU2 is on its way

I've rented NFSU2 through GameFly and hopefully it will be in my mailbox before Thanksgiving. Although it didn't score well in GS I'm looking forward to play it.

MKDA updates 11/18/04

Last night I played MKDA and I unlocked the endings for Bo Rai Cho and Johnny Cage. I'm planning on unlocking more character endings this weekend.

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3

I watched the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 video review as well as some gameplay videos of it. I don't about the fighting system but it seems to be a fun game. I'm planning on renting it some time.

CFE GS score

I read the Capcom Fighting Evolution yesterday and it got a 6.9 from GS. I know it's kind of low but I'm planning on trying it out anyways.
