@Greyfeld It was at least better than the first one. I was able to finish the witcher 2. I played about an hour of the first one and have never touched it again.
@jellyman68 It would be nice, but I don't see how they could do it without some sort of charge or fee going to them, or limiting the number of times a game could get gifted/traded. Or they could start charging a small monthly fee to use Steam. Think of the amount of money they would lose if there was free reign of giving away/trading games. I have roughly 20 friends on Steam. Say there are 20 titles all of us wants to play a particular year. Each person agrees to buy 1 and then just take turns with the title. That's 20 sales vs 400 sales. multiply that by the millions of people that use Steam worldwide , and you are talking about a substantial loss in revenue. Granted, its never going to be 1-to-1 exactly, but the point is still fairly valid.
The only way I would ever see the developers going for this is if the went to a serious free to play micro-transaction policy or to go to a pay to play.
Either way, it won't happen without both Steam and Developers making up the loss in profits somewhere. Somewhere you are still going to be paying the price to play.
@killa32130 I'm with you man. I just finished the game. I put about 35 hours into it. I enjoyed it quite a bit on PC, but once will probably be enough. The towers and the quests you get from liberating the towns got kind of old and felt more like a chore after about 15-20 hours or so. The hunting was pretty cool and I liked the crafting system alright. There were parts of the main story, especially the bad guys like Hoyte, Buck, and even more so Vaas, that were amazing. I can't think of many games off the top of my head where I was actually more intrigued by the villains. Then there was the parts with citra, especially at the very end that just, in all honesty felt pretty rushed, lame, not really hashed out well, etc. I didn't dislike her character, her part just felt kind of clunky to me.
@Jehuty599 WoW will fall eventually, but it isn't going to be GW2 that does it. I participated in a couple of Beta weekend with GW2 and it is an exceedingly average game. Not bad, but nothing special either.
@mateyman I'm not overly excited about a web series, and it won't change how excited I am for the game, but I'll probably keep up with it, because why not? haha
I didn't think it was as bad as some of these comments made it out to be...plus it had the cute girl from the Narnia movies in it =D...or at least it looked like her...
