I didn't read the article...but I can't wait until this 3d fad dies. It's not that cool and it makes things more expensive (I guess thats the point)....
The examples in the article are weak. I played WoW for right at 3 years. I've been gaming since I was 5. Now I play mostly stuff on my 360 and during most weeks probably get 20ish hours of play in. I'm also a junior, fixing to be senior in college, and I am majoring in IT with a cumulative GPA of 3.51, not necessarily biochemical engineering, but it isn't the easiest thing either, and to top it off I have a beautiful girlfriend that I have been together with for right at 11 months. These guys need to man up and do something with themselves.
@Zweikin I think you make a good point there, and it's not just video games, I myself love to read, and I love fantasy stuff like LoTR, Harry Potter, etc, and really it's a great way to escape and yeah sometimes it is kind of sad to come back to reality.
The differences are so small to me I could really care less. All the games are pretty much the same, it just boils down to how much money do you want to spend on the hardware to run it.
