Heavy Rain Review "Game Spot is Wrong"

It's better.
gs rain
David Cage the man behind clasics such as Indigo Prophecy & Nomad Soul brings us the best looking game ever. The graphics are on par with a Final Fantasy Cut Sean all the way through. I have played through once and some more and yes this game is different each time you play through {unless you are the type of person who can remember each step you made and play it out each time}.
The sound is top of the line, excelent though one character I could not tell if he was Russian or Mexican. Environmental sounds were made in the field and are authentic, bringing atmosphere and a seance you are there. The music when turned down a bit adds to this atmosphere whether it be a seance of tension, joy, suffering and eroticism. This last one brings about who I would recommend this game for. This game is clearly marked for adult consumers, and it's heavy content of psyhcological thriller, nudity, and the mix of emotions might be to much for even sensitive adults.

How ever while this might be a minus for some it is a plus in others. When was the last time you felt a true range of emotions in a game. This is a norm for some movies but in games this one is revolutionary. Some have written that this is more like an interactive movie. This is rubbish you will sway your arms around like you have gone mad, because finely after many years the SIXAXIS has found a game to be proud of. I near yanked my arm in reality in a fight on hard mode. The game might seem to start off slow but it picks up early and becomes a thrill ride. You can beat hard in about 12 hours first go but there are plenty of replays to come and different endings. If you die it is not the end, you play four characters and ether one can continue the story to the bitter end, or good end, or some where in between. The Game comes with an Origami that you can fold using on screen instructions during the first loading sequence and the Collectors Edition avalible at some shops has a bonus disk. The main disk has bonuses [more than just the making of but I shall not spoil it for you] of it's own unlocked with each Trophy that you obtain at the end of each level so as to not break the immersion. I was worried about the controls but I found them easy to learn. If like me you have played Indigo Prophecy then you will feel like you have put on an old pair of shoes that have just been cleaned.

The story might seem to some players who did not get the best ending first go but when you play through a few times you will see that all the peices fit. Every animation is perfect to what the character is supposed to be doing. Whether it's a brisk run or a man walking stiffly with fear. With out Spoilers that you will not read on the back of the case the story is about four people trying to find the Origami Killer a serial killer who targets young boys {as I said heavy stuff} and in five days kills them if some things have not happened. If I tell you more it will spoil the best video game story so far so delve into it and take a look.
Now with games one would normally put it into a category FPS, RPG or Sport there are no games like this one so lets call it DPT Deep sychological Thriller, because ladies and gents that's what it is. It grabs you from the screen and dosn't let go.

GLaDOS, Best Songs Ever Part2, Heavy Rain (My new game ritual) and Insomnia

It took me ages to get this written down by listening to the song.

But some words maybe off because I couldn't read the tiny writing

How ever for best gaming song ever I give you Still Alive

This was a triumph.

I'm making a note here to your HUGE SUCCESS.

It's hard to overstate my satisfaction.

Aperture Science. We do what we must because we can.

For the good of all of us.

Except the ones who are dead.

But there's no sense crying over every mistake.

You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

And the Science gets done and you make a neat gun.

For the people who are still alive.

I'm not even angry.

I'm being so sincere right now.

Even though you broke my heart and killed me.

And tore me to pieces.

And threw every piece into a fire.

As they burned it hurt because I was so happy for you!

Now these points of data make a beautiful line.

And we're out of data.

We're releasing on time.

So I'm GLaD I got burned.

Think of all the things we learned for the people who are still alive.

Go ahead and leave me.

I think I'd prefer to stay inside.

Maybe you'll find someone else to help you.

Maybe Black Mesa THAT WAS A JOKE. HA-HA. FAT CHANCE.

Anyway, this cake is great. It's so delicious and moist.

Look at me still talking when there's Science to do.

When I look out there, it makes me GLaD I'm not you.

I've experiments to run.

There is research to be done, on the people who are still alive.

And believe me I am still alive.

I'm doing Science and I'm still alive.I feel FANTASTIC and I'm still alive.

While you're dying I'll be still alive.

And when you're dead I will be still alive.

Still Alive

Still Alive

Heavy Rain (the ritual)and Insomnia

I have a new game ritual, when ever it is the last day before a new game I try to sleep in, then after I am fully awake I wash the screen of my TV. I normally get a ton of dust and dads smoke creates a yellow nicotine effect. These days I blog a lot that helps and then I tell dad to forcefully wake me in the morning even if he has to drag me out of bed by my ears. My depression/anxiety means I have to live with some one and besides being my closest friend he is a wonderful alarm-clock. He wakes up through sheer will power {no kidding it's amazing} and never uses an alarm because he will always awake a few moments before it goes off {Army training I don't know}. Any way it's because I suffer from Insomnia. I rarely sleep. Soon I am going to try {Heavy Rain remember!} but if you were wondering about when I am on-line. It's normally in the AM bracket.

Does any one else have a gaming ritural they would like to share?

Best Songs Ever Part One: NAACP

While I can never chose a favorite of any thing this is my first post for my Best Songs ever.

The Best Songs Ever - Bob Dylan - Hurricane

The story behind this song is true. A black boxer in the USA was framed by the white DA for a murder he did not commit. With the help of Dylan and a young man one day he would be free but it would take over a decade.

Be Warned the Nword is in this song and another sware word. How ever this song was written in support of the Hurricane and if you wish to hear a moving story it is told in this song

One last thing if you want to be friends with a legendary singer find @NinoSwaG :D

Because of the n word if you don't like the song {please watch it first} I'll take it down. But you'll have to post to tell me.

Just beat ME2 Insanity and got a haircut

Falcon084 GP

Yep I only go for full Achievements on the games I really love (the one that is hard to see is DAOrigins)

I have been sick but I still mustered the will to rid myself of my ever growing mullet. I don't normally go for short hair, but I like to know I don't have to get it cut for a good many months. You can tell me what you think if you like.

my hair

BTW my hair is lighter in color but the camera is a bit rubbishy.

Do Microsoft take us for fools!

ring of death

Yes. If you have seen me on the MEU you know I like the X360. Mass Effect, Halo, they're great! but as shown the "Red Ring Of Death" I have hadthree X360's. One was a repair job from Microsoft the other was when the repair job broke down. The PS3 never breaks down for me, never a problem, even plays DVD's {not including Blue-Ray} the X360 doesn't. Bill gates owns Microsoft, Microsoft holds the rights to the X360. Surly the richest man in the world {barring drug kingpins} can have the new and repaired X360's modified to stop breaking down.

For me it has gotten to the point that if I like a game and it's one both consoles I'll buy it on the PS3. My NES system broughtat the end of 1989, still works. I am not going to spend thousands of dollars over consoles 7 years of life and have it break on me long past they stop repairing them and I can't get another from a secondhand dealer. I don't want a second hand dealer I want a product that actually works!

Slowly getting better and I can't wait

I'll be coming on line sporadically but I won't be posting as much till I feel near 100%.

I am counting the days till Yakuza 3, Heavy Rain, Final Fantasy 13 and Dragon Age Origins : Awakening comes out. I am fortunate to have the money to get these (and mom loves final fantasy enoth to pitch in).

What I'd like to know is how the financeralcrisis affecting other people. I use my Disability Pension to buy some games and pay the rent that is fortunately low enough for my hobbies that even with the different value of dollar between nations Aussie games are more expensive. My immediate family helps when all the gamesseem to come out at once, not every one has family to support them, a highpaycheck (mine is not high but is gets me by), or the savings I have made over the years. Normally I would cut out one of those games but mom realy loves the FF Series so I'll be only paying about half.

$110AU is what I am expected to pay for Heavy Rain/$30AU for Dragon Age (because it's an Add-on). What do you in other nations pay?

I'm sick

I'll be off line tonight {I normaly come on line in the early morning}. I have been moving furniture around by myself and I am sore all over. Good news about the furniture though. I now have a bigger TV in my room and tomorrow I'll be awake to use it

Gaming Polotics and My Opinion Of Freedom

On a Union I have been asked about my blog title about Free Nations that don't want freedom. I thought I should explain.

In every free nation like USA and Australia every one celebrates freedom but then says that people should not be able to do some thing because of their morals. That is not what the word freedom means. If no one gets hurt we should be able to do what ever we like. That is what I meant with the Title. Every one in the gov and civilians are fighting over whet they think we shouldn't do and then shouting "the land of the free". It's stupid hypocrisy.
