As long as people are still looking forward to the next game, and not just because they couldn't stand the last one, you're doing great. Just ask Square Enix about FFXIII.
@emperiox I do get the fact that the game is now used, and that they did get their original money. At the same time, if I walk into a store, and see two copies of the same game side by side, but one is $5 less, I'm not worried about the publisher getting money when I can save $5. That's when you see a game that got rave reviews, but only sold 400K.
Look at it this way, when the bell hop at an expensive hotel gives you a good tip, you pay him back. 5% of a game you (GS) "bought" for $15 of store credit just to resell for $54.99 isn't too bad of a deal, especially if it cuts down on the console companies putting more forms of DRM into their systems.
@JustPlainLucas Again, I totally agree. Stop releasing so many games that require you to pour hundreds of hours into the MP to make it worth $60. I'll even go a step further, WHY IN THE HELL WOULD YOU DO THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! Sure, it's great if your last FPS had 2 gazillion matches played online. Unless they're all buying every piece of DLC, they aren't going to be sending anymore money in your direction for a very long time.
Almost a deal breaker for me.... but then I remember what Capcom did with DR2, so I'll wait for an eventual PS4 release or sequel. Damn, I want to play this game!!!
@GSGuy321 No, you're just showing everyone that Molyneux had a point. The longer they wait to explain the details, the longer people are going to be upset. Does it count when I first turn on the console, or does time extend as I keep playing. For instance, if I know they are going to do work on the lines in my neighborhood tomorrow and service will be down, should I play until the last minute, or reboot the system as the last thing I do before going to bed?
