You two give atheists a bad name. Seriously, if you do not believe in a Deity, that is fine, but do not act like you are smarter than everyone else and act as though people who believe in a religion are idiots. Biology/Science/Chemistry is my favorite subject, and I know a LOT about evolution and the Big Bang theory. Yet I still Believe in Creationism. Does that make me an idiot?

To me, there is a lot of proof for Creationism, but not the conventional evidence that you can take a picture of. I also believe in Evolution because there is evidence for that also. Creationism is ridiculous without Evolution, and Evolution is ridiculous without Creationism. They work together PERFECTLY, yet Atheists and Believers are too stubborn to see.

DeeJayInphinity

They don't speak for all atheists, so how can they give atheists a bad name? Do you even know if they're atheists or not? :?
And secondly, evolution works perfectly without creationism.. what gives you that impression? I'd really like to know.

Well, seeing as they both do not believe in a Deity, that usually means they are Atheists, Agnostics, or Scientoligists.

Evolution describes how we evolved, but does not tell us how it started. That is where God comes in. Something had to start evolution, so what was it? Also, Science in general points to Creationism. Energy can't be created nor destroyed, yet it HAD to be created. Something bigger than what is in this universe had to create it. That is just one basic example.

I could be completely wrong, but so can everyone else. Nobody knows if there is a God, so noone can say for sure. I just use my knowledge and faith to determine what makes the most sense to me.

I'm glad this poll is going the way it is, at least.

Junkie_man

4 votes for creationism is 4 too many people who didn't pay enough attention in biology.

Poor guy :(.

I feel sorry for Jack Thompson. He is trying to help out the youth (he is going about it the wrong way, but at least he is trying), yet everyone seems to hates him. I know this thread is just for laughs, but seriously, don't you think this Jack Thompson hatred band-wagon has gone on long enough?

I have never seen Titanic, but I absolutely LOVE the song My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion. I would watch the whole movie just to listen to that song. If watching a romance movie makes you a girly-man, then you might as well ship me off to the set of Will & Grace, because I am too far gone.

I am currently listening to Korn-Evolution as I type, so I am going to have to go with them :). I like Metallica, especially the song One, but Metallica can't even compare to Korn. Korn puts soo much meaning and soul into their songs, while Metallica is just your average monotonous Metal band.

I have an open-mind, so I tend to not jump to any conclusion about conspiracy theories until after I have done some research, but I have to say, most of those are ridicoulous :|.

Excellent short story!

Quite a pleasant read if you ask me, and what makes it even better is knowing you wrote all that in only a day.

I'd give it a 9/10

I think (in my opinion of course) that the story symbolizes that history repeats itself because humans and nature alike are imperfect. No matter how many people strive to change the future, history will inevitably be repeated.

[QUOTE="FatMan1945"]-From the time the military found out the first plane was hijacked to the time the last plane hit the pentagon which was over an hour, there were NO jets scrambled in that hour. fanofazrienoch

it takes a lot longer to arm and fuel jets. there was no point of having fast movers on alert because the cold war was over. you know, "peace dividend"?

No it doesn't. Select Warplanes used for this exact reason are always fueled and ready to scramble 24/7. Unless there was no pilot (which in the moring of a weekday, I find very hard to believe

-how come the US government knew all the hijackers names within a few weeks of the incident? And how come 6 of the so called "hijackers" are actually still alive in the middle-east.FatMan1945

the confession tape of Osama bin laden and the passports?

You really think someone would brag to the US people that they were involved in these attacks?

-the steel melted, and the only thing hot enough to melt steel in an uncontrolled burn is thermite/thermate.FatMan1945

hence, the steel did not melt. it was weakened by the fire

The steel DID melt though.

-How come the main support beams have a clean, diagonal slice in them that can only be caused by a v-shaped chargeFatMan1945

where are these "finely cut" beams? and how do you know they weren't made by ironworkers at the scene?

So the iron workers got into the smoldering fire mere hours after the collapse just to cut a few main beams?

-How come explosions were seen BEFORE the building started to collapse.FatMan1945

here in the real world, we call that a LIE.

Look at videos on youtube of the collapse. Youtube may not be the best place to find evidence, but the videos of the collapse don't lie.

-How could a plane hitting near the top make the whole tower neatly collapse onto itself when the first 50 or so floors were never even hit or severly damaged.FatMan1945

maybe because the severly weakened steel had to support thousands of tons of steel and concrete?

The top portion would have shifted and toppled over. It would not simply make the rest of the tower collapse.

-The towers (noticeably wtc 7) imploded into itself. the ONLY way they can implode is if an explosion destroys the main center beams, but no plane hit WTC 7, so how could the core beams be damagedFatMan1945

falling debris hit and damaged one of WTC 7's support trusses. it wasn't a conventional skyscraper like the other ones of NYC.

It hit a few support beams, but not all, which means that it would have leaned towards the direction of the damaged beams making it topple over, not implode.

-The Twin Towers were beginning to hurt NY. They were major money guzzlers, and they still had to clean the asbestoss form every beam in the tower. The bill would have ran into the billions.FatMan1945

and it would be cheaper to completely rebuild the WTC?

They are not rebuilding another WTC there. They are opting for a smaller structure which I am betting would cost less than a billion dollars.

So PLEASE, I beg you guys. If you do not believe 9/11 was an inside job, then that is fine, but do not say we have no evidence, and definitely do not call me a lunatic or a nutjob. FatMan1945

but all the evidence supports my thesis that you are a lunatic/nutjob:(

All the evidence says that I am not :(

I once believed 9/11 was a true terrorist attack, but I decided to do my own research and think for myself and I found FACTUAL evidence that points towards the conspiracy. FatMan1945

sure you did. go ahead, keep on telling yourself that

So you are saying that all that mumble-jumble up there was just random letters and numbers. I did my reaserch and found factual evidence.

If I could, I would erase everything I have ever learned about 9/11, because the truth haunts me deeply and to think that my own government could do such a thing terrorizes me. FatMan1945

it woulden't if you put those critical thinking skills to work son

I did put critical thinking skills to work and this is what I have found.

I love this country and the people who live here, and I am hopeing that once the truth finally comes out, the people of America can make the USA once again a great nation.

FatMan1945

s..sure they will

I tend to have an optimistic viewpoint on life, so I am sure we will :)
