I remember when Gamespot actually had quality articles, but for some reason they decided that the market no longer wants intelligent pieces on video games, that all we want are superficial videos. What a shame.
I'm really excited to have random maps. I fully admit that knowing a lot of the maps before hand really help my Ironman impossible playthrough. Don't know if I could of done it otherwise.
Also I hope the devs find a way to fix the issue of power creep. Xcom EU was absolutely brutal in the beginning at classic and impossible difficulty. But by the end, once you upgraded your facilities and squad, a lot of the challenge was gone. I would even say that you had to play it on impossible difficulty to get really challenged at during the end of your playthrough.
Looks encouraging! Unless the game is horrible optimized like Ass Creed Unity then it's going to be a gorgeous game that's going to leverage the power of the PC to show of some incredible visuals.
@LustForSoul: Like in life, you get what you pay for. I'd rather spend a couple hundred extra bucks and be happy with the computer I got then save some change and have to put up with a loud, unreliable, cheaply made desktop.
@fiskamat4: You're factually wrong. Ever heard of a series called the Total War, a great PC exclusive? Also Fallout 4 actually looks and runs better then consoles and has sold like 1 million copies on day one.
@nyadc: Ps4 always looks a little better since it has about 50% more gpu power than the xbox one. But I agree that the differences aren't all that great. Now the difference between some games and the PC are a different story.
@billzihang: Tomb raider looks incredible on the xbox one! An underpowered console, it's going to look stunning on a high end pc next year. I don't know what your standards are but this might be one of the best looking games released on the xbox one so far. Porting simultaneously to two gens didn't hamper the quality of either. Good job by Crystal Dynamics.
