The game generated an estimated revenue of $390 million, exceeding Halo 3´s $280 million launch week. Worldwide sales split 4:3 in favour of the Xbox 360 while the Playstation 3 version saw a higher attach rate.

So we all know the Wii has pretty much dominated the sales scene since its release, and it doesn't look to be stopped anytime soon even though heavy-weights like Halo, and now GTA, have made their arrival.

Does it piss you off to see the Wii winning the sales war?

I'm asking cause there doesn't seem to be an end to discussion within the gaming community on whenthe Wii is going to stop selling. It's not if but when, people have assumed that it will be stopped... somehow. And there's always these threads on how the 'Wii isn't relevant in this console war', whatever the hell that means.

So, what do you guys think? Does it bother you to see the Wii in the lead? If you're going to say 'no', please make sure that you're not well known here and that we don't know about how many Wii-hate threads you've made (don't be a wuss and avoid this thread please). If it does or doesn't bother you, why is that?

Not really. I care about the games, and, so far, to me, the games on Wii seem completely uninteresting.

The story was horse **** but its a fun addicting online experience. Epic nailed that fun factor that lasts. Like i said, Gears is like the Halo of 3rd person shooters.

I just hope Cliffy gets over him self and cuts down on the cheesy dialog, tho.

No, the story isn't of high quality. However, frankly, I don't care - the game rocks. Moreover, it's pretty much better than Halo 3.

9.6, GOTY, with several different online/multiplayer modes, and arguable the best mechanics of any 3rd person shooter, doesn't sound like much of a rental.opex07

People can say the same if they only own a ps3 system by saying God of War, and MGS4 and FF 13 are only on the ps3 why do they need an xbox 360.

It all boils down to what games u dig and how much u willing to spend to buy these games even if they arent on your favorite console. I think all 3 have games that I really like, only reason I play more of my third party games on the ps3 is because I dont think it is worth coffing up money just for a few added features in xbox live. I am quite happy just playing halo 3 split screen with friends or family who come over or just enjoying mass effect, lost odyssey myself. Now if sony made us pay for online play or there servers were just laggy as hell that I couldnt enjoy my online on PSN, then of course I would have no choice but to accept that offer with xbox live, but seriously ppl are talkin alot bs about PSN being bad but in reality when u can play your games and enjoy them with friends and other people online, thats all that counts. I think people just make such a big deal about it because they pay for it so they want to defend it, when in reality its the same thing, only thing is added features.

Whats the point anyway? The only thing I can see myself playing on the 360 that isn't on the ps3 is probably Dead Rising. Thats about it. The only game that seems worth getting is probably Fable 2 which probably won't live up to its hype. Other than that everything else seems dull to me. ABC is nothing to get excited over, Halo 3 I won't even bother because I'm sick of shooters and the next Vexx and Brute Force game will probably come out in 2009.

So, whats the point?
