Thats the wierd thing, no artifacting. The 8800 GT's are hot cards though. Which that leads me to thinking its the power supply. I ran memtest for an hour and no errors, so I dont think its that. Although I could be mistaken, because I didn't run it that long. Hence me running it tonight.
I am about to go out on a limb and get a new PSU, but not with a little investigation first. I'm thinking of getting a nice ULTRA X3 800 WATT PSU.
It only happens while playing World in Conflict and the Crysis demo. I am going to totaly outrule RAM tonight, by running Memtest all night. I am hoping its the PSU and not my new graphics cards (Yes I know it's most likely them 8800 Gt's). Still they seemed to work fine for a couple of days before I started to encounter this error.
Anyway when it happens it seems as if the cord as been totaly pulled from the back of the computer. Could be overheating, but it would have to be the graphics cards overheating, because no other hardware has changed.
Anyone else getting the "Display driver has stopped responding and has successfully recovered" error. Something about nvlddmkm stopped responding.
I have got it in the past, but alot recently because I have been playing COH.Just wondering if other people are getting it too. Its really anoying and I hope it gets fixed.
If you have a fix for it I would like to hear, thanks.
Yeah I think I will try to play it some more and see if it does it again (stock settings). If it does it again it could be a recent install of nvidia beta drivers.
After a quick analysis the top one is better. It might be worth your while to check out some dell monitors. I have one right now and its awesome. Nice design, awesome picture, and nice resolution. What else could you ask for. Anyway some dells are expensive, in the end its all up to you.
My computer totally shutdown while playing crysis. I recently OC'd my CPU, could that be why?It overheated and shutdown? I reset my bios and I dont seem to be having any problems. I just need some reassurance.
