Twilight Princess was just frustrating to me. But then again every Zelda game has been frustrating for me.

Can't see the charm in that series to be honest...

Can't handle all that lag.

I do my brawling in person... Uhh I mean on "local multiplayer" as the cool kids like to call it.

Yeah I definitely miss the arcades...

I also miss how gaming was a "niche" hobby. Its nice that playing video games has receieved widespread acceptance but I think something was lost.

Generally the more hype a game gets the more likely it is going to be to average.

I couldn't help but notice that all of the games you listed were shooters. What if we do not like shooters? ...I think I will keep playing games.

I always feel that it means a certain style of game design. Like a simple scrolling shooter or a 2-D platformer/beat em up.

Unfortunately about the closest thing most places have to arcades currently are the deaded "Family Entertainment Center". Places that usually involve multiple other gimmicks (go karts, miniature golf, lazer tag, etc.) with overpriced food and "ticket" games. If you are lucky you might find a decent selection of ACTUAL video games.

What irks me though, is that this is what people currently consider an "arcade".

What is everyones current favorite arcade game?

Maximum Tune 3, Time Crisis 4, and House of the Dead 4 for me. I love arcade racers and rail shooters, which are of course played best in the arcade.

This might have been obvious from my Elizabeth Conway icon.
