@ballashotcaller: yes, thats a good point. Im just curious though because my main concern is: have we reached the design ceiling for gamepad? I remember once an article that expressed some concerns of developers explaining that they wished for more input possibilities. It makes some sense. When you get to more complex games like Kojima or Meier it may feel as though the buttons are a tiny bit limited. Then again, im on the fence about the touchscreen on PS5. The touchpad on this generation was nice, but had little innovation in the end. I dont know. Still, considering Sony has its experience on success and failures in the past, they must have made lots of prototypes and tryouts to conclude on a touchscreen. But i cant help but wonder if it will work in the end, see my point?
Also, i remembered now the white and black buttons on the original Xbox. Thats two extra buttons without too much hassle. They ditched them, but they didnt bother me at all to be honest.
could we talk about that controller? It sure should be comfortable, but I can't help but think it is a wasted opportunity. It is the same, just more comfortable and with a share button. That said, the PS5 controller with its alleged touchscreen and gimmicks could also make or brake the console, but at least they are trying :)
@thelostscribe: I agree, maybe with the exception of the games. I believe they will make an effort, but I need to wait and see if the games are truly on the way :)
