The Continued Tour of My Game Collection (part 3)

So now, let's go onto my portable games shelf:

This is where I keep most of my portable games (not all, but most). GBA, GBC, NDS, and PSP (some UMD movies too).

Some notables from the GBA Collection on this shelf:

Castlevania Double Pack (Harmony of Dissonance, Aria of Sorrow), FF IV Advance, Gunstar Super Heroes, and Fire Emblem The Sacred Stones, all sealed.

Astro Boy The Omega Factor, Battle BoDaman, Sigma Star Saga, all Sealed. Yu Gi Oh worldwide edition is a Japanese GBA game )that nplay in English and other languages). It's actually my favorite Yu Gi Oh game cause it cuts out all that extra jazz the others had, and keeps it focused the card game and just playing it.

Super Mario Bros is a hot game for the GBA, Bubble Bobble New and Old is a fantastic game that gives you the arcade version, plus a shiny new version. Looks great on the Gameboy Player. ;) Tron 2.0 is sealed, but one of the few GBA games that had a flap that opens, kinda like PC games (that gives you details on the game). So it's sealed with a Sticker, vs. the plastic wrap GBA games had). Klonoa 2 for GBA is awesome, but I can never ever seem to beat it.

The Ace Attorney games. 'Nuff said. ;)

Electroplankton is an awesome game you can no longer buy new, Meteos will be one of those games remembered for years to come, Jump Superstars is my only Japanese DS game, and game and watch Collection is from Club Nintendo...that game is still sealed.

Darkstalkers, Crisis Core, and Space Invaders Extreme, plus the obligatory Anime Umd movies ;)

As always, you can see more pics in full here.

The Rarity System I Use

I never explained this before, but I use a rarity system to rate my games that is used by Digital Press.

It is as follows:

* R0: Titles listed with a rarity of zero are simply games that were never released or require more research.

* R1: These are the items you can find or BUY anywhere. When you find a bunch of games, these WILL be in the pile.

* R2: You can find these titles just about anywhere, too, but they're slightly less common, perhaps in certain areas.

* R3: You'll find these items through the proper channels (other collectors!), not as common "on the street", but fairly common on the internet.

* R4: Things get a little harder here, as a title rated as such could have a lower production run, or other factors that pull it out of the common bin, but nowhere near rare. You can start calling titles from herein uncommon.

* R5: The hunt begins. Five are the kinds of item you have to look for, but definitely always in reach.

* R6: If you see a six or greater, at least one of us had a problem finding the title. You call this very uncommon if you so desire, or borderline rare.

* R7: Rare. A true collectible! Sevens and up representsome of the "hardest" games to find.

* R8: Consider these the items you'll never find by chance (except in those legendary lucky finds!).

* R9: The centerpiece of a collection make up the nines. If you ever hope to BUY one of these, prepare to write out a big check.

* R10: Not only is this the centerpiece of a collection, but a ten also means you could be holding a one-of-a-kind (certainly one of no more than a dozen or so) there - kind of like owning a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle, or Issue #1 of DC's Action Comics.

so there it is, now you won't look confused when you see my ratings with games I buy. =P

Ack, Storage

Ack, maybe Allicrombie is right...

Anyway, I got another bookshelf in my room to organize my collection of games on. Though I'm not sure if I'm gonna keep it or put it back in the shed again and go back to the old way.

I've gather some games to set aside that I'll sell just to make space and invest the money into...other games. :P

My Sega CD: She Lives

*Tears Of Joy* After a year, I finally fixed my Sega CD! I got the parts to replace the fuse that blew in the system (The Sega CD console is known for blowing its fuse) and now it works again. Yay! So, last night I got around to playing a few Sega CD games. Tomcat Alley - Its a fmv (full motion video) gsame thats done well...for a fmv game. I just can't get over the trial and error aspect over it. The Terminator - Its a contra clone, but its pretty decent. I love the music in it, its pretty good and adds energy to the game. The gameplay is a bit average, but it features good graphics and arcade like feel. And it has difficulty levels to boot. I'm really loving the games I got from the other day. The Super Game Boy is awesome and handy. Kirby Pinball Land is a game that I loved as a kid and it looks darn good on it. Tetris Attack (SNES) is pretty awesome as well and I've put some time in it as well on my SNES.

7 Major Games Added to My Collection

Oh mna, oh man, I'm excited! I just got 7 greta games for my collection, and this is prollly one of my more exciting lots in a long time. :D

Bioncle Heroes, X360

PGR3 (PH copy), X360

Quake 4, X360

Earth Defense Force, X360

Rayman Raving Rabbids, X360

Got about 38 bucks (more then I actually expected) from mega media exchange and used that money for these 7 games:

Snes:

Super Game Boy, $3 (tee hee, It's Game Boy time!), R1

Final Fantasy 3, Snes, Cart only, $25, Awesome shape, R3

Tetris Attack, Snes, Cart Only, $12, R1 (I paid a bit more on the high end for this one without a doubt, but at least I finally got a great looking version of the cart in my local area)

Super Bomberman, Snes, Cart Only, $12, R2 (great looking version as well, I have the Super multi-tap that was released for the game, and plenty of controllers so I'm ready to go. :P)

I picked up an NES game yesterday

King's Knight, NES, cart only, R3, it's a game made by square...ya know the company that became "Soft," and then "Enix" :p It's a scrolling shooter, and it's decent. :p Truthfully I bought it for the cool artwork on the cart. :P
