So The Wii Be Back?

It's been nearly over a yearsince I plaeyd my Wii. With the new firmware update to fix the Wii's memory, my interest into the wii's VC and wiiware titles have sparked, and now I've been playing my Wii.

So since I'll be out of town in a few weeks for a vacation, I'd figure I'd bring my Wii along with me (it's practically portable :P)

So, I think I'll get Super Punch Out...

Anyway I got a fun idea for a question:

So Gamespotters, if you had 5000 wii points, what would you buy? :p

Snes Controllers Obtained, Legacy 3rd Party Controllers Talked About

I got this today all for $5:

2 Snes Controllers

1 Asciipad Controller (supposedly they say this is the finest 3rd party controller made for the snes), R2

1 5-Player Hudson Multitap Unit, R3

All in pretty good shape, 'cept for one of the Snes controllers; cable is a bit roughed up, but that's okay.

Also, I have a (possible) neat topic in the legacy boards I'd like you all to check out:

Your Favorite 3rd Party Legacy Controllers

It's about 3rd party controllers of yesteryear.

It's a variation of a topic at the Candid Collector's Union I made:

Our Favorite Controllers Collected

Check them both out when you get the chance. :)

At Gamespot For Over Four Years And Possibly More

I forgot to mention that on March 1 of this year it marked my 4th anniverary here on Gamespot. I actually have been at Gamespot longer, I just didn't register until that date 4 years ago. I also was just offered something of opportance the other day. Some of you know what it is, and two of you know via pm that I have already made a decision in regards to It. If something turns out Ill let you know what the offer was in a future blog.

Over 500th Blog Post!

Yes Gamespotters, I have made over 500 blog posts on Gamespot!!

Thanks to all who have replied and continue to read and reply to my blogs!

Today, I picked up Resident Evil 5, In preperation of Friday, Where I play to do a lot of Co-op online with it over this weekend.

I've gotten through Halo Wars, now it's just playign it every now and then for fun and a few achieves. I love co-op in it.

I might get Crystal Defenders on XBLA - I keep playing the Demo over and over :p.

Also, I plan to get rid of a few 360 titles I no longer want, and to gain some cash for future games. Rumour has it Halo 3 will be $29.99 soon. ;) I'm a bit picky with my 360 collection so I'm always looking to refine it, especially since I prefer titles that have a lot of replayability.

Over 40k Gamerscore Now

I passed a milestone tonight, getting over 40k gamerscore (did it with Halo Wars). While I'm no gamerscore fiend, I'm proud of certain acomplishments I've done so far on Live. Here's to more gaming. :P

IZ GotZ MyZ HaloZ WarZ =P

Yup, I picked up Halo Wars yesterday, pretty fun in co-op. :) I recommend ya to try the demo if you haven't.

I might buy Crystal Defenders on live, the game came out in the arcade yesterday and after playing the demo I'm a bit hooked. Plus, I was a bit Final Fantasy Tactics Advance fan too. It'll be my first arcade game bought in a while....I've pretty much played out most of my arcade games I own.

Resident Evil 5 comes out tomorrow, but I prolly won't get it till next Friday.

I Am ZE Pac-Man Champion...Wakka Wakka

Last night, I finally completed Pac-Man Championship Edition to get all 200 points of achieves in the game, not to mention getting some nice leaderboard scores as well.

Also, finally cleared level two in Galaga Legions. GL is a game I haven't played much ofsince i bought it.

The last week I've played Lost Planet and Eternal Sonata. LP is fun but playing it made me realize that the game style will lend itself much better to co-op...hence it's no wonder they are Making Lost Planet 2 the way it is, and having it focused on co-op. I'm getting near the end, but for now I'm taking a break.

From there, I staretd Eternal Sonata this week. It's really quite a beutiful game and I like the action/rpg feel to the game. Very, very cutscene heavy though.

ThIs Is The Year For Fighting Fans

Mark 2009 as the year for fighting fans, folks. First of all we've gotten the sweet Sf4, which has proven to be very popular. But the fun won't end there cause we have 3 great fighting games on our way.

Earlier this week, The King Of Fighters XII was announced. It'll be for the Ps3 and Xbox 360. Featuring redrawn graphics, 3 on 3 fighting (a series trait), Hd loo online multiplayer, 20 characters. this game is already starting to make fighting fans drool. July is only 4 months away. While 20 might seem like a small number, it might actually make for a better game then those in the past. It's about quality, not quanity. Here's hoping for an awesome game. Don't forget a new King Of fighters game is also on PS2.

Also we got Blazeblue, an Hd 2d fighter from the makers of GuiltGera, being released in Japan this summer.

From Joystiq:

Arc System Works, the folks behind popular 2D fighting franchise Guilty Gear, are planning on bringing their high-def 2D fighter, BlazBlue, to the Xbox 360 and PS3 IGN reports. Currently only available in Japanese arcades, the title is being ported to home consoles in the region, with release aimed at this summer.

Notable additions to the console port include a story mode, with individual stories for each character available. This story mode will offer branching storylines based on the battles you win, as well as the choices you make while playing. Director Toshimichi Mori says the story mode easily offers 30 hours of gameplay.

On top of that, gamers can look forward to online support for battling folks around the globe, as well as DLC, which Arc has planned, yet no specific items were mentioned. The console version of the game will also provide all characters with Astral Heat special moves, which were only given to a select few boss characters in the arcade version of the game."

Here's hoping for a US release.

Also, don't forget, Tekken 6 comes later this year.

And SF HD remix is also on Live, which was released late last year.

Good times fighting fans, good times :p
