“I knew these boys and had seen them around, so it’ll be strange not to see them again. I am destroyed. Please don’t make me speak, I can’t manage it right now.”
Rampulla, another former Juve legend, is now the goalkeeping Coach and was stunned at the tragedy to have struck this club.
“Last year Neri was one of the main protagonists in the Scudetto Allievi victory. I saw great qualities in him and wanted to let him train with the first team next season. He would’ve been ready to work with Gianluigi Buffon.”
The reasons behind the accident are not yet clear, but it seems the two teenagers climbed over a fence to recover some footballs that had fallen into the lake, which is 50m by 30m and 5m deep, after a Christmas party.
It’s believed they slipped on the plastic sheeting used to keep the water in the artificial structure and couldn’t climb back out.
Ferramosca was pronounced dead at the scene, but desperate attempts to reanimate Neri at the hospital failed.
“This is such an absurd tragedy, it makes no sense,” added Rampulla. “When we think of everything that’s happened to us this year, one wonders what else can hit this club?”
It has certainly been a traumatic 2006 for the Turin giants. Calciopoli saw them demoted to Serie B and director Gianluca Pessotto is only now working towards full recovery after falling from a window at the club headquarters in an apparent suicide attempt.
Ferramosca’s father, Lucio, is the vice-President of amateur club side Atletico Mirafiori, where Alessio first showed his talents. His family had until recently lived only a few miles from the Vinovo training ground, as he was a native of Turin.
Neri was from Florence and his family had been preparing the celebrations for today, his 17th birthday.
There will be a minute’s silence before all Serie A and B games this weekend in memory of the two youngsters. Its funny, football as beautiful game as it is, people would do anything for it, as much as dieing. A few days ago 2 Juventus players (Juventus is one of the premiere clubs of Italy and the world and one of my sworn enemy) were found dead on an artificial lake. This is a great loss for not only thier families, but for Juventus, Italian football and the whole football in general. I just want to say, may god make your journey to heaven as safe as possible.

Winter plans for games
by GFofgaming on Comments
As for spending a lot of time with my gf, family, etc. I have devoted sometime foe gaming. I am planning to play some quality ps2 titles from my brother in my ps3, as previously i didn't have one and was not motivated to play in his system.
I will also play Oblivion expansion pack, Knights of the Nine on the PC. Gears of War and the entire Tom Clancy 2006 series, from Ghost Recon to Rainbow Six LV in the 360.
After analyzing games for both systems, 360 is clearly, handsdown, the best system to suit my tastes, I luv action/adventure games, FPS games, third person shooter games, Western RPGs, Sci-fi. All which is in the 360 domain.
Games for 2007 I will buy:
1: GTA 4 (360 or PS3)
2: HALO 3 (360)
3: Mass Effect (360)
4: Bioshock (360)
5: Splinter Cell 5 (360)
6: MGs 4( PS3)
7: Assassin's Creed (PS3, 360)
8: Army of 2 (PS3, 360)
9: Crysis (PC)
Possible announcements for 07:
1: Prince of Persia
2: Max Payne 3
Titles I really want to know from Sony:
1: Gateway PS3
2: 8 days
3: and of course Africa.
Damn, it looks like i wasted my money on PS3.

Vincenzo's Game of the year 2006
by GFofgaming on Comments
Here is the list: The winner is in each category is highlighted with gold
Best RPG:
1: Elderscrolls 4: Oblivion (PC,360, also PS3 & PSP in 07)
2: Neverwinter Nights (PC)
3: Final Fantasy XII (PS2)
FF XII was an excellent JRPG, true to its standards with excellent story telling, but....RPG is not only about it. Its about Epic feeling, its about exploring vast lands to find out the truth, its about the musicical chore that plays in the background, its about graphics, its about having the freedom to be what u want, when u want. In this case, its about Oblivion, there is nothing like it.
Best Stealth Game:
1: Metal Gear Portable Ops (PSP)
2: Splinter Cell Double Agent (All platforms imaginable)
While being a huge Splinter cell fan, this years best stealth game goes to MGS PO by a long shot, hence for the first time, a handheld beats a console in a genre. No doubt, MGS packs the quality in story telling u expect since HIDEO KOJIMA took over and the series debuted on PS. The gameplay is surprisingly much much deeper than the console cousin, Snake Eater (PS2). The multiplayers includes such intensive pre-planning that even Tom Clancy himself would look in aww. The multiplayer has everything, I mean everything even for a good console multiplayer standards, and in many cases, it goes even further. The way the singleplayer and multiplayer tied to the overall game was never done before, never before u would had 2nd thoughts of a raising the humiliating white flag.
SNAKE.....its very very hard for me, but u deserved it, I SALUTE u!
Best FPS:
1: BattleField 2142 (PC)
2: Half-Life 2: Episode 1 (PC for now)
3: Condemened (PC and 360)
4: F.E.A.R (PC, 360, PS3)
5: Call of Duty 3 (All consoles)
The winner is very easy, BF 2142. The game which came close was HL2: EP1, but Valve needs a lesson of delaying a certain sequel episode and not keeping thier promise. BF2142...while the last one, BF 2, was a fantastic revolutionary jump. The latest is like an expansion pack. The only frustrating thing about the game is that, almost everything, even basic grenades r locked, and u have to play the game for quite some time to unlock all of them. Even though, the game is as fantastic as ever, 64 players all our war: SEA, LAND, AIR, u name it, it has it. The bread and butter of the vehicles is the undoubtably, WALKER. You witness the earth thundering all of a sudden, as a soldier of a squad (let alone a lone wolf), u think how much time u got left with each shake of the earth, the sound becomes heavier.... than....a big shadow casts from behind u over ur helpless body and u know.....its too late. Another great, i mean great thing is the Titan mode. Its like Stars Wars when the Repubic troops storm a Rebel ship. You work ur way to the core and expect heavy resistance, and grab some charges and blow the core up and escape as fast as u can, and prepare for ur first exciting Titan paradrop.
Best Graphics:
1: Oblivion
2: Gears of War (360)
3: Splinter cell Double Agent (360, PC)
4: Ghost Recon (360, PC)
5: Rainbow six (360, PC, PS3)
Everyone know which one is it, but just for the supern00bs out there: Gears of War- Next Gen has begun.
Best Multiplayer:
1: BF 2142
2: Metal Gear Portable Ops
3: Splinter cell Double Agent.
This is a very hard one. For PC its BF 2142, for console is Splinter Cell DA, for handheld its MGS PO. But, the significance in jump of multiplayer for a handheld as seen in PSP is astonishing to say the least.
Best Strategy Game:
1: Company of Heroes
2: Warhammer 40,000: Dark Crusade
Both gamers are from developer Relic, but not only because of new technology fueled by it, Company of Heroes is the best RTS this year. Unlike FPS cousins like Medal of honor, Call of Duty 3: nothing portrays European theatre of WWII like COH.
Other awards:
Best Sound: Company of heroes
Best Story: MGS PO
Most Disappointing Game: Godfather
Well, I am Italian american and I assure u, killing is not the only thing mafias do. The game, once thought to be the best action game after Mafia- City of Lost Heaven, was very very disappointing. Every indoors were about the same, the cars were xtremely low polygon (makes GTA III look hell lot better), very low quality textures in the cars and the world. And this game has the most recyled character model (which deserves its own award). Heres the thing: how can a character model be an FBI, ur family member, opposing fmaily member, hotel attendant, racket dealer, etc. U know what i am talking about, the guy with a big mustache and a sturdy cap. Godfather: I am definately refusing ur offer.

Metal reaches a fantastic Gear.

Metal Gear Portable Ops is the killer game for PSP for 06 and even beyond. The game alot of praise all around the web, even the critical Gamespot gave it 9.0
IGN gave it 9.0
The story is in the metal gear standards you expect. The controls are very well implemented, but u have to give about 30 mins to understand everything. There is a game sharing feature which allows u to play against people who dont have the copy of the game.
So if u dont have PSP now, its time for u to get it, even if portable gaming is not ur taste

At Work A lot of people came today, i like served upwards of 60 to buy MGS PO for PSP only. So after, I got my Limited edition copy of it, which includes a cool MGS PO PSP case. Anyways I started playing the Singleplayer mode.
Honestly. this has to be the most innovative game this year. I mean the way multiplayer and singleplayer tied together was never done before. The way u recruit soldiers and loose them entirely was also never done before. The depth in Multiplayer is astonishing even by console standards. I cant wait to play the multiplayer component.
As for PC, I am playing BF2142 and its very cool indeed.

Pressure is falling
by GFofgaming on Comments
The last 2 weeks were tough, in the wake of the Christmas holiday we were put on a lot of pressure from college. But finally, things began to lighten up starting with the end of the week. So after work I got meself the last Tom Clancy title of the year, Rainbow Six (LV) and i was not disappointed. Cause:
1: Its a Tom Clancy title
2: Its in my hometown Vegas.
I been hanging out a lot lately with the gang in some casinos as I gave gaming a bit rest.
Well thats it.

Exploring PLAYSTATION 3

One of the first things I did was to prevent myself from ripping the box apart to get my console (it was a very hard job). Than I realized how shiny it is on person. I quickly plugged in without reading the manual and played with the touch sensitive power buttons and eject buttons a couple of times hehehe, for the spirit of wackiness, I tried to fool the buttons by blowing some warm air, since its heat sensitive. But, it does not take it, which is good. For my 18th birthday in 16th nov, My parents gifted me an SHARP Aquous HD-TV, 45inch dual HDMI ports, which like costed 2200$, very cheap compared to the features on hand. Than the menu opened with an orchestral music.First thing I did was to update my PS3 which took about 4-5 mins (98.5MB), probably because we swtiched to the Verizon FIOS Fiber optic network last week. After updating, I quickly pushed Resistance and played the first level, I was impressed about the quality of the textures and lighting for a launch game, which begs the question, what does the future hold? Than I tested some ps2 games like God of War and Okami, GTA SA, they all work fine, my only complain was that PS3 does not improvise the games despite having abundance of processing power, hope that sony releases and update to do just that. Same thing goes to DVDs, it does ont upscale them.
Next I registered one of my spare sony bluetooth headset and bluetooth keyboard and mouse (I am all wireless, I took the keyboard and mouse from my PC). After that I took dad's credit and created an online account. The process was took like 10 mins. After that, I went to the PS store and greated with a sonystyle.com and iTunes interface. I Downloaded the motorstorm demo and played it a couple of times.
The reason I bought only 1 game is because I am not sure how the games will turn out to be, but I will definitely buy Motorstorm this year.
I changed my plans of getting Tom Clancy Rainbow Six LV for PS3 as it was shipped and also because I learned my lesson from Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon AWF:- PC rulz FPS, peroid.
So I will wait for the 360 version and PC version reviews and try both of them before geting the right version.
Despite having PS3, 360, PSP. My main gaming platform is the unrivaled PC. Can a console have 64 player online multiplayer? Can a console play FPS and RTS as seamless as PC? I dont think so. I am a born PC Gamer and I will be that way.

Got the BIG PS!!
by GFofgaming on Comments
Ladies and gentleman, the reason I was away because I am in gaming heaven, I got the Big PS3!! YEAH BABY!! SCORE BY VINCENZO!
I am playing Resistance FOM and Gears of War (Magnificent, graphics is just jaw dropping all the way to china). I just started playing so I will give my reactions later. The PS3 interface is very slick, like sonystyle.com and itunes music store. The Resistance multiplayer is awesome and chaotic, and great for a launch title. The only I can find is that Gears no way in hell deserves 9.6, it goes with soimething like 9.3 . Only GTA currently owns 9.6.
So Many Games. so little time
by GFofgaming on Comments
ITs funny, During the summer it was like "How can I spend the entire goddamn summer with no quality games at all". Now as we breach the doors of winter (hey poem stuff!). Its a different situation, I have loads of games, some of them I haven't even touched yet:
1: Splinter Cell DA (360)
2: BattleField 2142 PC (Yep I bought it, the titan mode, OMG, its rocks bigtime, after seeing the Gamespot Tourney i had to get it)
3: GTA VCS PSP (ITS GTA on a portable, what more do u want)
4; Killzone:Liberation PSP (The graphics is one of the best the platform has scene, the gameplay is also very good)
As for the PS3, I planned only 3 games as I am running out of $$:
1: Resistance
2: Motorstorm
3: Rainbow Six Las Vegas
The Question is, when will i finish these games. Than again, time sure flies in winter when u havbe lots of games.
5: Neverwinter Nights 2 (If this game had a good graphics engine, it would totally hurt oblivion, like badly)
