[QUOTE="magicalclick"][QUOTE="JigglyWiggly_"]RAID 5 is nothing like RAID 0, RAID 5 does a long parity calculation, you will want a real RAID controller for that... if you wan't max performance. Also it's write speeds are slower than that of 1 disk. RAID 10 is just 0+1, which will be slower obviously than all hds in RAID 0.Jamex1987
Yes, RAID0 is fastest with extrememly scary time to lose your data soon. Any of those 4 drives in RAID0 will instantly destory the everything. I extremely against it unless you don't care to lose everything in your entire set of RAID HDDs.

People always say that for some odd reason. I have been using Raid 0 for years and have yet to have any problems. If a drive is about to fail you will be warned in advance. There is also something called backup.

Same here, I have only heard of one hdd fail in my life. I may be 21 but... only one? Seems like if its so scary it would happen more. lol

Ya i ment no pci raid card. I have raid 0,1,5,10 on my mobo. I also have a quad core cpu 3.0 and 8 gigs ram. I was reading from this web site that raid 5 and 10 supposedly have better read rates. Raid 5 is just a form of 0 with fail support. Mostly its raid 10 vs raid 0 I guess. But you say raid 0. Ill prob do that.

I am going to buy a video card for about $200 and right now they are on the top of the list. I heard the 4890 is better I dont understand why. the gtx 260 has a little less memory but it uses 448 bit vs the 256 bit on the 4890.. And the main difference that i cant comprehend is that the 4890 uses 900 mhz memory clock vs the gtx 2000mhz memory clock. Im no expert but based on that wouldnt the gtx 260 be better?

my specs:

windows 7 premium 64 bit

AMD Phenom II 940 Black edition 3 GHz

my gay 9500 gt lol

750 watt psu

ecs black editionmobo with one pci express 2.0 X 16 slot :(

full atx case

8 gbs of patriot ram 800 ddr2

2 monitors one 23" lg 50000:1 1080 p (main) and a sony 19" on the side

I got a 9500 GT 512 ram graphics card now and I was looking to upgrade to a 4890 1 GB of ram for a bout $200 but then I was thinking I could get a small SSD (prob 64 GB) to help with game loads and windows 7 start up and stuff... What do you guys think?

My specs

AMD Phenom II X4 940

8GB DDR2 800

Nvidia 9500 GT 512 ram

37 GB raptor with windows 7 on it but all other programs on my 1TB HDD. Start up times are weak I think caus of the other programs that have to open on the 2nd hard drive...

When I play the game only sometimes do I hear the sound effects of anything but I can always hear other players ai or human as they talk in the mic. I never hear ANY zombies making noise... I have World at war and it still works perfectly. ANy help? Sorry if this post is in wrong place.

Yes there are aparatuses that can boost signals and also can relay them further distances. They are very easy to make with even homemade objects, just search google. The downside: if your neighbors dont know, its HIGHLY illegal. Given unless your using it all they will probably never know, but if they were to report it you would be in the same sinking ship as "wardrivers". (google it if you dont knwo the term). Its a federal FELONY, not a misdimeanor, a felony. Take your chances if you wish but I wouldn't risk it if they dont know.

What are they called?
