@NathanDrakeSwag: While I don't disagree with you completely, I wouldn't say it's complete **** right now. There's a lot of talent in wrestling today. Do they use them to their fullest potential? No way. They could, but they don't want to.
@mitchell2211: I get what you're saying but it's the same retards that are making the quality of the game they make lower and lower. "Hey, let's see what other things can we leave out of the game and withhold in the future because they'll be happy to throw this money at us!"
So I'm all aboard the boycott train like I did with COD. If it's something I really want to play, then I'll buy it used. Ultimately, we can all do whatever the hell we want since it's our money. But I will not let the retards ruin gaming for me. It's not too late for everyone else to take a stand.
@X_SLX: I can't believe still are still falling for the limited supply junk. You would think they'd learn their lesson by now with the Wii, Amiibo, and Classic NES fiasco. But suckers are going to be suckers. I personally still kind of want a Switch but at the same time not so much thanks to Nintendo's business tactics. However as a gamer, I'm sure I'll buy it eventually... but only when they're in stock and until I've seen a price drop.
@jayskoon93: Great post. You're absolutely right. It sucks for the people who are going to lose their jobs, no doubt about that. But yeah, I can't recall the last time I ever went into Gamestop looking for a great deal (or being surprised by one). I just go to to pick up my pre-ordered game on release date, at full price. That's it. Anything else that is pre-owned or "on sale", you can find a better deal easily at Amazon, Ebay, or maybe even other stores.
It's cool that they're partnered with Think Geek and they're trying to sell toys, shirts, accessories, etc on top of games, but I really wonder how many people stroll into those stores to buy those items specifically. Because again, it's probably cheaper online anyway.
People should know by now that if you really want something on RELEASE DATE, don't rely on Amazon. Ever since they got rid of "Guaranteed Release Date Shipping" for video game orders because they wanted to force Prime on people, it has been 50/50 at best.
@nl_skipper: Honest answer... It's a waste of time. We see advertisement everywhere. It is to the point where it is beyond unacceptable and you have to draw the line somewhere. It's like what Steamaddict said in his original post. There is absolutely NO need to have to watch a 1 minute ad just to see a 30 second video.
The websites that require me to whitelist just to read/see their content? Well, I just don't go there anymore period. Their loss.
@steamaddict: On IGN, I think their stupid video player bypasses my adblock and plays an ad regardless. =\ So if I ever need to see a video, I just go to their Youtube channel and watch it there without any ads. I think we can do that for Gamespot too.
@louixiii: Haha. 1000 lucky people who can randomly win a Switch, I'll go. But to be "lucky" enough to be able to Pre-Order it? GTFO indeed. Dumbest promotion ever.
