@fayeznajeeb: Well, to be fair. They didn't know it would be on PS+ since they don't announce the "free" games until the last minute. But yeah, it does suck for people who bought it in May and if they opened it, they likely can't get the full $60 (or whatever it costs now) back from the trade-in.
This is a great idea and I wish they would start doing this for all game releases from now on. Having to install a game AND download the day 1 updates is pretty lame to begin with... but we're stuck with it. At least this allows people who prefer physical to be "ready to go" as well.
@Jag-T1000: That's the tough part for me. I think it's fun and refreshing but you're right, it's also not worth $60. I might keep my fingers crossed and hold out for a month and see if it goes on sale. If it doesn't, then whatever I guess. I just won't play it.
@stealthy1: Agreed. They even poke fun at it if you want to buy Stubs. It'll say something like, "Hey, if you want to buy them, we're not going to stop you."
As for their other negative about perks feeling like cheats. They're right... to a certain extent. But no one said you had to use them. Plus, it's only for Road To The Show which is OFFLINE only. People are free to do whatever they want, as long as they don't do it online and ruin it for others.
@redalert539: No kidding. It's like showing up to work and telling your boss "Hi, I'm working on ____ right now." And the boss is like, "Well no ****." That's how it feels with these articles really.
