That's the 360 version, the PS3 is going to be more smoothly flowing. Better graphics, 50 times faster loading, better framerate.Flame_Blade88

Anyone else here think that being smart is more then calculations. There's logic, morals, compassion, honesty, loyalty, personality and especially what ever that make us humans human. I don't think we would have robots that are female, male, gay straight, different ethnicities, cultured, funny, silly, style, goofy, mean, able to create video games, music, movies, books, tv shows, and anything that makes life good. Can anyone here imagine a robot comedian? How would the bot handle heckler? Could anyone here see a robot growing up in a **** hole creating a garbage band blowing up to star status?

I could imagine it.. but only in a Pixar movie with Robin Williams...

[QUOTE="Krigon"][QUOTE="dan_brouwer"] This question reminded me of the fact that the world's best chess player was recently beat by a computer. Just because we made computers does NOT mean we are smarter than them...

Gabriel Kasparov :( got beaten by that Super Computer. R.I.P Chess :(

you realize the moves were programmed by a human... right? They were not thought up on the move, the computer didnt "think". It "thought" in the same way Osimo "thinks" about how to grab a bottle out of someone hands, It has 3 options of approach, depending on where the bottle is at, it will use the most efficient. However, those "actions" were still developed and 'loaded' by a human, who designed the joint, designed the processor, and designed the software. If i think of a way to counter a move in chess, and a computer does it... the computers just processing information I thought of into physical actions

[QUOTE="GameArtGuy"][QUOTE="walton13"]The locusts were defeated by humans, the chimera still controll half of the world...NextGenNow
Chainsaws weren't in wide use back in the 40s, thats why...

The locust did take over the entire planet... but the humans more or less nuked the surface and took settlment in a platue area. Did the chimera even reach the US?

Very true. The Chimera took the surface by force though...unlike the Locust who took it by suprise. They waged a land war one on one versus the humans and pretty much dominated every battle until the stalemate in England...which kinda ended when they burrowed the river Thames into the primary British base. I wouldn't judge based on how far the Chimera reached cuz it was insane how rapidly they dominated. However, it is also folly to say The Locust were defeated without being specific....they were defeated in the sense humans threw some sand in their eyes...not in the sense they lost the war.

After reading this i realized how closely both games tie to WW2, obviously Resistance is straight forward... they spread rapidly, destroyed everything, blitzed the world. But the locust tie in closely to the pacific theatre, struck by surprise, crippled the US for a period of time (our navy was hurt very badly)... and then, as we all know we dropped the atomic bomb, the war continued for a bit, and then we dropped the second which lead to the immediate surrender. Sounds a lot like the story in gears... but we cant say the Japanese were not an extremely tough opponent (if your american) even though we "won" in the same manner the humans in gears did.

how mamy of us think were as smart or smater than the ps3?shuriken_ninja
The ps3 doesnt have intelligence... it processes information... it cant think to solve a problem, it cant form a question, and it cant do anything that shows intelligence. People that think computer "think" are just kinda..scary. The ps3 takes information created by a human, and processes it. The cotton candy machine doesn't create the cotton candy, it processes the ingredients made by a human.

Yea.. whats that thing that cant see and cant hear but can smell you from Gears? That thing alone is scarier than all the Chimera added together. Its like your just walking along then you hear it breathing... the headset on co op quickly goes quiet and you cant help but not move.

[QUOTE="Basinboy"]Sounds fair enough to me. They just found that Single Player was a long drag and online was definitely its greatest aspect. Sounds like your typical racing game dilemma. My guess is still at an 8.4.washimul

PGR 3 with poor graphics and gameplay got 10.

BULLY got 10

RESISTANCE got 8.5?????

MOTORSTORM ........the best looking ps3 game till date with unmatchable gameplay gets 7.5......................................do you still trust that source.

PLAY MAGAZINE gave MOTORSTORM 10/10

game-pro gave MO ...9/10 with editor's choice.

IGN gave MO 8.9 with editor's choice

http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/ps3/motorstorm

MOTORSTORM averages at 89% btw.

EUROGAMER would be giving it 10 no doubt

MOTORSTORM is on course for a 9or 10 in most other sites.

the ***

I dont remember pgr3 having poor graphics... If anything it was the best looking game out there for almost 6 months. 1up rates games on how much fun they had playing it... not by "Well they did a good job with the lighting, and well... technically speaking its impressive... not much fun, but they meant well.... give them a 10" They rate it by "Well... ive played this track before... the last race was identical to the other 5 races i did.... Some websites have different ways of rating games, good for them for rating it differently because they had a different opinion, good for them for not rating it high just because the fans want it to be rated high
