I would say that too, until they talked about how they're incorporating vehicles into the game.

I believe there's tiers of challenges in the game, much like the old platformers of yore. Yet to complete the highest challenges requires more thought into your vehicle. It would be a gimmick if they asked you to create an air vehicle, which within five minutes, can complete all the challenges for a particular course. However that's not the case, as you have to build efficient/ergonomic machines to get the job done. So instead of archaic time trials where you had to pinpoint the quickest way to get from point A to B, you're required to get creative and build something which will allow you to complete such challenges.

So no, I don't think it's a gimmick. It seems Rare actually have something going for them.

what the fudge is going on there? This isn't a temporary thing, it's been like this for a good amount of time, and sales have actually picked up since the release of tales and infinite undiscovery have gone by.

that's exactly my point. Do you really think Sony has 14 quality titles? You may not realize it, but there is always a decent amount of games announced at these conferences, we just pay attention to the big ones.

Cerealsy, the Xbox 360 is by far the most expensive console.

Yea, you can get the console for $200 and the price of xbl really isn't relevant since its spread out so thinly over time, but come on: there's so many games for it.

A little big ago there was tales and viva pinata. Then some cool arcade games came out (braid, castle crashers, bionic commando, megaman 9, etc.). Upcoming we have Banjo 3, Last Remnant, Fable 2, Dead Space, Left 4 Dead, etc. and that's not even the tip of the iceberg.

And hell- itll suck your money in. I passed by gamestop the other day and say kameo for $10 and PDZ for $8. I snagged both. That's $18 right there when I wasn't even planning on getting a game.

Can anyone honestly deny that the 360 isn't the most expensive console out out the bunch.

Im not calling you a cow, in fact, SE supports the 360 more so than the ps3, so far.

But in general, it's stupid to say. All the games rare have made this gen have been good. Kameo was the best imo, followed by VP/TIP and then PDZ (which was still good thank you).
