What exactly is unique about the story and main character? Its about a one man army taking on uncountable amounts of aliens to save the world.. The aliens are on a religious crusade which isn't unique what so ever, Warhammer 40k did this over a decade before.. And they had games for those.. The main character is also the definition of generic.. No real dialogue that shows him as a real character, instead his voice is gruff stereotypical war vet.. With the emotional depth of a table spoon.. Furthermore his armor is one of the most uninspired I have seen in a long time.. It looks like he is wearing motocross gear.. This isn't to say that its to say its a bad game, but even amazing shooters like Half-life 2 I wouldn't honeslty say has a amazing stories like the halo fanboys claim Halo does..[QUOTE="sSubZerOo"][QUOTE="Verge_6"] Sorry, you said nothing of 'In my opinion, the story was bad'. And once again, pointing your nose in the air and scoffing at everyone else because you read a book? SpiritOfFire117
He is the last of a bread of super soldiers that were kidnapped at age 6, trained in the style of the ancient Spartans, hence what they are called, and underwent genetic augmentation half of which didn't survive or were crippled. He wasn't always a "one man army". There were usually more in a group. However, that changed after the fall of the UNSC fortress world of Reach, hence the title of the new game. Furthermore, there are other MJOLNIR variants besides the standard Mark VI "motocross" design. But you knew this right...er...right? :|
In before GamerForca says "Ender's Game did it so that sucks". Granted, it's really only "kids taken to train" that's similar. And no, I don't mean to say the differences are between kidnapped and asked to come... it's basically compeltely different.
