people love halo because it's easy to pick up and a good co-op/multiplayer orientated FPS hyped beyond any other game I've seen.

Because it has awesome MP. Which is what matters most for FPS.

Honestly who buys a FPS for the story?

You can tell me with a straight face that after watching that gameplay video you are excited and hyped for this game? So much so that you're willing to spend $60 to buy it...

What I dont understand is why on EARTH would sony fund this project? Seriously this game has NO chance to make a profit why the **** would sony agree to make something like this in their dire economical situation.

Why is this in SW? Anyway I'll put my two cents in to make this SW relevant. Halo's storytelling post Combat Evolved is absolutely horrible, despite there being deep lore behind things. Nice if the game actually made things like MC's origins relevant (as the teasers hinted). Hurm.
