Logitech headset should do a good job. Did you try the Microphone +20dB boost option on your sound card? Go to Start > Control Panel > Sound And Audio Devices > Voice tab. Under "Voice recording" click on the "Advanced" button and it will place a new button on the MIC volume control called Advanced. When you click on that button you will see a checkbox for "Microphone +20dB boost". Checking it will give the Mic a boost in ALL applications. If you cannot find this option you can use a third-part program.
Uninstall your current drivers. Download the latest drivers with the control panel from amd.com and do a fresh install of the drivers and give us an update
First of all you must check on your BIOS that the option of your network adapter (or LAN adapter) is enabled. Latest operating systems (like Windows 7) do not need drivers for the on-board network cards because they are embedded in the system so you wouldn't have any problem with these kind of drivers except if you are using an illegal copy of Windows 7 with ripped drivers. If you have checked and double-checked everything with the software (try installing another version of Windows 7) or even an older operating system (Win XP) and if the network card is working properly that means you don't have a hardware problem. If you see the same hardware behavior on the second attempt of Windows installation then I suggest of buying a new network card because there is possibly a hardware problem.
Windows 7 works great on games. I have been using them for my desktop for more than 2 months. Don't forget to download all the latest drivers for your laptop (especially the graphics card drivers). Which version of Windows 7 did you use (Ultimate etc)?
