Or they could just support the Occulus Rift as normal since it's already been suggested that Kinect 2 has a lot of potential in combination with VR tech. (i.e. full motion control in a virtual world = Dream-like Gaming)
@fred0309 @Soulreavercross Soul didn't say that they HAVE milked it necessarily. Pretty sure he/she was just suggesting that they, since Ubisoft has a reputation for it, might milk the series in the future.
Look at Assassins' Creed. Sure, each game is great in its own right but they don't vary much in terms of gameplay so those who have already played one or more of the games are getting bored of the series already. [Though AC4 actually looks like it is going to introduce some interesting changes :/]
@Citizen_King "I'm all for the government combating terrorism by any means necessary."
Completely contradicts your later statement.
This isn't directly Microsoft's fault. This is the government's fault. Think about it. If an agent came to your door and demanded information and the only alternative was a heavy fine or even imprisonment, what would you do?
The government may be using the information to combat terrorism but that in no way gives them the right to drop all blame from themselves. They're still forcing companies to provide them with personal information and THEY should be the ones getting lectured by the people they're 'watching'.
@93ChevyNut @Garagorn888 @mikemaj82 Well actually, looking at US prices, you guys are getting ripped off badly. Windows 8's actually cheaper here in the UK(after conversion) for some reason, which is strange considering you have lower taxes :/
So yeah, fine, guess I was wrong. I could build a PC here for around £200 though, which is usually converted straight from $200 for most products, after taxes and rip-off additions. o.O
@Iffy350 @Romangelo No, not that either since that would only be possible in a restricted publishing environment, which PC as a platform is not limited to being.
@hairdie @Roccoroll @Prats1993 Pretty sure most ATX-based PCs have PCI Express slots. If a pre-built PC doesn't allow for customisation, whoever's selling it sure as hell had better reduce the price by at least £50 to make up for it.
@iDead1988 I think the biggest misconception with these hardware releases is the idea that you 'must' upgrade.
If you have a working PC that can run games at medium settings, which is fine and is similar to console settings, then you don't need to upgrade, unless of course you really want the best of the best graphics.
You don't actually NEED a high-end PC though. You can get on with your life without knowing that you can run games at high settings at a consistent 60fps, as you don't actually need to.
