I came hear to see what type of game it is. As it turns out, this game isnt for my tastes. I thought it was an RPG. Nevertheless i read the well-written review.

BUT, on a side note: The reviewer says the game's BAD feature is that it has no rewind button. Have we come to this point?

Where a game gets a negative score for not having a rewind feature? I mean whats next? A game that doesnt have manual save -> automatic fail game? It doesnt matter if it is the 1st or 2nd or 3rd playthrough.

The BAD features section should be about problems with the game, not finding reasons how to make the reviewed game better.

Are these even games? or movie-like games with minimal gameplay?

And why people love so much so much drama in TV shows, games or games?

Or to take it one step further, why people love dystopias in TV shows, games or books?

Can anyone objectively rate such an experience?

So Strange. I dont have the answers.

Even though this game might be incredible (orit might not), remember this:

Be more optimistic in life.

@thearcticsloth: Twitter wants more and more traffic.

What better traffic than gamers?

I didnt bought a pre-built PC. I think you only buy a pre-built PC if you dont have even the basic experience in comuters.

Me and my brother purchased the individual components from various companies and the store assembled it. It is much more cheaper and efficient.

Both movies can work.

COD's story is really simple, which is perfect for a Holywood movie. Holywood tends to dumb down stories based on either books/games and goes for over-the-top action and dramatic plot twists, which is basically the essence of COD's single player campaigns.Don't really think that COD will be a big success though, since the military/army theme has been outdone to death in Hollywood.

As for Skylanders, it could be a big success as a Pixar-like movie, since they have many characters from many franchises.

@habeasdata: Gamespot is very finicky with replies :(

Anyway, Bioware/EA is currently producing an AAA Star Wars game.

It is suspected that Amy Hennig is there (Soul Reaver, Uncharted), along with Chris Avelone (KOTOR 2, Fallout New Vegas, Neverwinter Nights 2, Pillars of Eternity etc). To sum it up, both very good at what they do.

But i suspect that the Star Wars game they will make will be about the original trilogy or the new trilogy.

Anyway about KOTOR, they once again hired Karpynsky (Mass Effect 1, 2 main story writer) who worked on the acclaimed Darth Bane novels. He will work on the newest expansion.

Btw, I dont think KOTOR 3 is going to happen, since for all intents and purposes the MMO is the continuation of KOTOR.

For some design standpoints, the MMO is the right choice, because the singleplayer wouldn't quite reach the sense of scope (the war between the Jedi and the Sith).

Despite some failings, the MMO story hits the right notes and it is very true to the spirit of Star Wars.

As for the story of Revan, without spoilers, i will simply say that Revan is torn between his dark/light side (like KOTOR 1)You find him in the unique dungeon of each side (the Jedi/Sith side each have some unique dungeons) with a different story each time, but all interconnected. You learn the conclusion of both stories in the Revan expansion.

Again without spoiling anything, see this (its made by Bioware)

The lore videos below are a must watch, especially if you have played KOTOR 1, KOTOR2.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xV34yqDNOqE&list=PLCCB02004A72F3DBD (Star Wars Lore)

And below, these are the intros of the MMO (all of the below, are in game)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NuNvCOUy1Ts (disregard the last one, its from the last expansion)

Basically the lore videos & the intro videos are all before the start of the MMO

If you are bored to watch, the general story is this:

the Sith (who are hidden in the deep reaches of the galaxy- as a side note, they ripped the story of the MMO to Force Awakens, the First Order hides in the deep galaxy like the Sith of the Old Republic)

TheySith make a surprise attack on the republic fleet, who has heavy losses.

The republic fights back, stablizing the war for a bit.

The Sith make a very bold attack on the Jedi Temple. Many Jedi die,the Temple is destroyed, Coruscant is taken (for a while). Republic is struck a major blow, and they are forced to negotiate.

The Republic is forced to sign the Treaty of Coruscant (very bad treaty for them) , giving much of its borders to the New Sith Empire.

http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/8/8d/Treaty_of_Coruscant_borders.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20090704002337 (The borders are shown here after the treaty, notice that Coruscant is very close to the line now)

Cold War is happening, which is from this point that the MMO begins.

Basically each class Story shows the Sith infighting (remember, no Rule of Two yet), and the Republic slowly gaining ground until both Republic & Sith Empire they are somewhat even.

Until the newest expansion happens, which will probably change much.

@habeasdata: you dont have to spend anything really to play the vanilla version.

But if you decide you want to invest in the game, i would suggest to be a subscriber (tier 1) for a month, and you will gain many benefits (like all expansions), then drop subscription and you wont drop in tier 3, but in tier 2 (preferred status).

@habeasdata: it was a failure, meaning it cost around 100 million, and probably wont gain back the initial investment.

But now since it has gone f2p (restricted f2p i would say), it is quite profitable.
