Im on Vista 64bit with 4GB of RAM and an X-Fi, and yes the drivers are far from brilliant. My PC is liable to lockups, but it doesnt stop it from working most of the time. Make sure you install the correct drivers

I would suggest you look up the Sennheiser HD555 headphones, great all rounders with excellent sound quality (really well balanced). I bought mine last year for £60, so im guessing they shouldnt be much more than $100. Stay away from Skullcandy, they arnt good.

nope, 128kbps AAC with DRM, definately not

256kbps AAC without DRM, getting better, but nothing compared to my FLAC collection from CDs.

I encode them to ALAC for my ipod, and i have a creative sound card, Sennheiser CX-300, Sennheiser HD555s and Logitech Z-5500 for listening to stuff. When i go to uni, i might invest in an amp and some nice speakers, but i wont be spending that much, students cant afford that much.

I have been in an SL55 AMG, i can tell you now it is a great car, love it.

you have to see it in person to appreciate how big it is, i have also seen an SL63 and CL63 (both of them are owned by people who live near my school)

CCCP using the included build of Media Player Classic is the single best playback solution out there. I use it for all my video files.

For Blu-Ray/DVD playback, I use PowerDVD 9.

[QUOTE="Gigagamer2"]VLC when videos appear to be broken or wont work in MPCVelocitas8

When does that ever happen :? ..never come across a video that will play in VLC and won't in MPC. I don't have VLC installed anymore, but when I did, it was always the other way around..I'd get broken playback on MKV files in particular using VLC (VLC didn't support many of the container's features fully), yet they'd play back perfectly under MPC.

DVDs dont work in MPC (copyright issue i think) and some unprotected VOB files dont work properly either. MPC on its own doesnt support real either and i think VLC does (but i dont have any real videos anymore). Also, VLC can play some rediculously high bitrate 1080p files which MPC sometimes lags in.

Im hoping that as one of their tests, they will capture images of something they have done before, something like Saturn or the Orion Nebula, although im aware that they take time to capture and process.
