@Celsius765 @R2C25 @Vodoo IMO if MS would secure some franchise exclusivity beyond Halo, such as Mass Effect, and would develop more Alan Wake, and shit, even some new franchises, they'd be much better off.
@Vodoo @R2C25 @Celsius765 Disagree, Uncharted 3 and 1 pale in comparison to UC2. Deception had wonderful cinematic sequences and was overall badass but UC1 had broken combat, unimpressive set pieces, a disappointing ending, and was basically a good version of tomb raider x indiana jones. The second two games greatly improved on this.
@Leeric420 It has more exclusives, not better. Uncharted 1 through 3 were good. Really though Uncharted 2 was the best. Uncharted 3 was a let down full of bullshit scripted drugged-out sequences and increasingly annoying shootouts, not to mention the most absurdly disappointing villain deaths I can remember in modern cinema/gaming. But no seriously, Marlowe and Talbots deaths, unacceptably bad.
MGS4, the PS3 can't really take credit for it. It was simply a PS3 exclusive. MGS2 was released on Xbox/PS2 and was just as high quality of a game as MGS4 and had no problems on the Xbox . That was a pure marketing move to give the PS3 some pretended purpose. Really though it was just the fact that MGS4 was a really long movie with 5 hours of gameplay and without BD all those movies wouldn't fit.
BTW, you already have to pay for Netflix. You may as well pay for XBL too. If you are bitching about 40 dollars a year, again, you're doing it wrong.
@Sarcasm101 Wasn't the PS2 also only like 199. It's been over a decade since I bought one so I don't remember but I do recall both Box and PS2 being less than 200 bucks. That is also a factor, if that's true. With a console priced at 300 or more you aren't going to see a lot of people buying one - especially when there aren't games to justify it. Minus the 50 dollar or so price of a bluray player you're still looking at a console that's 220 bucks and has less gaming experience to offer than its predecessor.
@thebeachguy90 @spectreSE7EN Brohan you're right but the fact is, PSN has been hacked and compromised tens of thousands of customers. XBL has never been hacked and never compromised any customer info.
@spectreSE7EN This isn't your opinion, this is just the simple reality of the situation. XBLG is 40 dollars. PSN+ is 80 dollars and you get free games as long as you pay for PSN. XBL is streamlined, runs faster, is organized better, has more to offer and gets DLC and demos earlier, and PSN is an annoying, discombobulated pain in the ass and I purposely avoid it. I too own both and I too posted a similar long post above, and the fact is we are right. I have no loyalty to either system. I like both. 360 is better overall, it's just a scientifically reached conclusion.
@al3azmi I have no sympathy for all these QQers about red rings. I haven't seen a red ring since the original xbox and you had to cause those by modding it. I've yet to see a red ring on any 360, including the first production run.
@warhawk-geeby Considering there won't be any games for those new consoles until at least December, assuming they come out this winter - which they won't, there is still reason to buy a current gen system.
