The brutal space pirate patriarch now faces Samus Aran on the field of Smash Bros!I placed him to stand along by Samus as the representatives of the ill-appreciated Metroid series.His brutal fighting tactics compliments his status as a heavyweight.
SPECIAL MOVES:
Ridley is a tad slow on the ground,but he more than makes up for it with aerial mobility rivaling that of Pit,Being able to glide at high speed.Also Notable is that Ridley is capable of Crawling(And It's fairly low too).
PLASMA
This move can be considered his calling card.Tap B to unleash a short ranged,albeit strong,fireball.Holding B allows Ridley to fire a continuous plasma beam.The beam is a tad on the weak side,Doesn't make foes flinch,and it can't bounce off of surfaces like Bowser's flames can.However,It can be used indefinately,It's decently ranged,as well as the fact that it can be used While Gliding.
Thunder Mesh
This little known move is from Metroid Prime 3:Corruption.In that game,it was used as a nigh-unavoidable ranged attack,however in Smash Bros. it has a different use.The move is used as a reflector of sorts.A pair of energy orbs appears in the palms of Ridley's hands,an electric mesh then appears around him,slowly spreading outward a short distance(This can shock opponents for minor damage) Reflecting energy based projectiles.Also be aware that there's a 1/4 second of leeway for attack before it activates.
Flight
Ridley takes off form the ground with great force,this hurts any foe next to Ridley for roughly 10% damage and sends them flying high,afterward,Ridley is capable of flying freely for 5 seconds.(Much like Pit's wings of icarus.) When used in the air,Ridley starts to beat his wings furiously,this version of the move causes no damage,but it does push nearby foes back a bit.
Meson bomb
This move simply releases a sphere like bomb from Ridley's tail,it works a lot like Samus' bombs,except it detonates upon hitting the ground.This move is usable while gliding.(In fact,I recommend it,as one can make Bombing raids on foes while out of their reach.)
Final Smash:Omega Ridley
This is Ridley's vile,Phazon enhanced form.Ridley gains Phazite plating,Decreasing damage and preventing flinching.Ridley Radiates Phazon while in this form,Causing around 4% per second.If Ridley is fighting an opponent that's good at running away,There's a final Nasty surprise waiting for them:Ridley's Plasma attacks are greatly upgraded in Power.When tapping B,instead of a single fireball a barrage of roughly 5 comes out (Each causing 5 damage),Ridley's plasma Beam is upraded to dangerous extremes.The power of the beam increases fourfold (to Roughly 12% per second) and the beam can pass through walls.However,the beam still doesn't make foes flinch and the Range remains the same.
