Now Wii-motion plus has been announced. That makes the nunchuck even more inferior. If you've played Wii-sports boxing you know exactly what I'm talking about.
So lets say Wiisports got patched, and everything including boxing would make use of the new Wii Motion plus peripheral. I have perfect 1:1 controls with my Wii-mote, but the nunchuck is the same old....
So is a nunchuck 2.0 about to be announced? Wireless capabilities, wii-motion plus inside?
What do you think?
Its not always called the Nintendo Wii. In fact the code name was "Revolution", not the Nintendo "Revolution". When they changed the name to "Wii", they said just that, "Wii". Nothing b4 it, nothing after it. The official name is "Wii". Whether or not people call it "Nintendo Wii" is their choice. People can call it wutever the hell they want, as long as people know what they are refering to.
Myself, and most people I know just call it "Wii", or the Wii...
Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 indeed did have 32 players online. Guess what else it had? A shallow campaign, no co-op, terrible animations online, the graphics were ok, nothing that great. It was pretty much a PSP port.
4 less players than the other versions isn't that big a deal. I mean you can't expect them to be able to do everything they can on the other much more powerful platforms on the little Wii. At least they are trying. I believe there will be vehicles too (confirmed for other versions). Did MOH have vehicles?
Ressitance is running on the Playstation 3... Nuff said.
Yea it'll be a port, only this time a port of the main game, not some watered down trash. Ignore the fact that High Voltage doesn't have any experience with FPS games, and Treyarch has made plenty, and have already done a shooter on Wii.
Just found out the 360/PS3 versions of the game will support up to 16 players online. So four less players on the Wii is no biggie for me. As long as its fun, everything looks good, plays good, and runs smooth.
Gears of War had less than 12 players online, that didn't stop people from playing the hell out of that game online.
It's also on DS Do the other versions have more than 12 players online?air_wolf_cubed
CoD4 supported 18 players online for 360 and PS3. They said they pretty much took the multiplayer from CoD4 and built on it. Whether the PS3/360 versions of the game will have the same ammount of players as CoD4 is unknown.
I'm pretty sure they were limited on what they could do with the Wii. The fact that its online, its going to look really good, and control well is great news for me.
One of the most fun online multiplayer games I've ever played was Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror on the PSP, and it was only 8 players. So don't let that number bother you.
I'd hardly call it an excuse, the game had to be out launch day, for both the Wii and the PS3. Infinity Ward was probably already well under way with development on CoD4 by the time CoD3 was released. On top of that Infinity Ward pretty much had two years to develop CoD4. Now its Treyarch's turn to show what they've got, because they've gotten the time they needed.
Also, Call of Duty 3 wasn't a bad game by any means anyway..
As some of you know,Treyarch has got the game running on the CoD4 engine, which is quite impressive.
Camera and control are taking top priority. So at the least, expect controls better than Metroid, although I'm pretty sure they will rival Medal of Honor's controls as well.
They feel the Wii hasn't been pushed to its limits, and it looks like they are definitely making an effort to try and make this game not only the best looking FPS on Wii, but also the best playing FPS for the Wii.
This game looks like its going to be rated M for Mature.
This game will be available for the Wii/PS3/360/DS/PC/PS2. However the Wii version has its own team working on it, and its said that it will be pretty much the same game as the 360/PS3 versions of the game in terms of gameplay.
The game will run in 60fps offline, and 30fps online.
Up to 12 players will be able to play online.
There will be a secret regarding Co-op for the Wii version revealed soon.
The game will also support the Wii Zapper.
For all you people crying for a quality hardcore FPS for Wii, it doesn't get much more hardcore than this (excluding "The Conduit," which probably wont be out till around April of next year - end of Q1).
Get hyphed!
