Theres really no advanced matchmaking going on, besides maybe what controller your using (which Isn't proven)). If theres a game available when you ask it to find one, then it will match you up, as long as there are no problems with someones connection.

I'm pretty sure there are a few servers. I don't think its by country though. Possibly more of a regional thing. Although japan might have their own servers, and I'm pretty sure the Americas do too. Not sure about the pal and aussies.

First of all, in Smash, its only taking 3 secs to connect to the wifi connection, as opposed to the 9 secs earlier today. I also just got through playing two random matches and they seemed to run even smoother, and I definitely noticed less button lag. Anyone notice this? I did hear someone talkin bout Nintendo said they would be fix something b4 the holidays...

Looks like Nintendo also did some work on the servers, for Christmas. Its now only taking me 3 secs to connect, as opposed to 9 secs earlier. I also played two random matches that ran smoother than normal, and the button lag is definitely less noticeable...

Well some old fashioned nintendo blowing got the job done momentarily. Hope that didn't sound too bad. I just blew into the disc drive a couple times and it works as good as it did yesterday, and I don't really hear the noise anymore. I'll probably still put in that order for the cleaning kit. Also, I checked the website for sending it to them, and it said they'd fix it for free, and didn't really say anything about a warranty. You just had to put your info down, and it said they'd email you with some fedex shipping info or something. So maybe they just fix it for anyone with the problem, which is a small % like it also stated on that page.... Anywho, thanx for the help.

So you don't suggest I go ahead and send it in? You think cleaning will do the trick? Is there anywhere else I can get this besides online?

I got my Wii the Sunday after the launch.

The other day the fan got unusually loud, but the problem went away when I rebooted. Now today here I am playing a team battle online in Brawl, and the match ends and then its at the part where the winner is announced and stats are shown and all that, it freezes momentarily and starts making a clicking I've never heard. Now I can't even really play the game, without music not loading immediately, very loud noises, disc read error at the intro, long loading.

I put in Mario Kart Wii and played a race, and I didn't hear the sound, and it ran fine. I also tried Call of Duty. While I was still hearing the clicking sounds that I heard in Brawl, the game seemed to run fine, as I tried out some campaign, and messed around in an online private match (no one but me). So what am I gonna have to do?? I'm pretty upset right now. Cuz I've been havin a lot of fun lately with Brawl,Kart, and WAW.

If so, how? If not,why not?

As far as I'm concerned, your happy, sad, mad, content, ect..

Your satisfied or unsatisfied.

What are your thoughts?

I have no idea what the gripe is as far as the controls. They are damm near perfect for me. Equal if not better than MOH's, you can do a lot customizing when it comes to the controls as well. Bounding box size (S M L) , Turning Speed (slow, medium, fast, insane), Camera Response (medium fast insane), Zoom bounding box, Zoom turning speed. Throwing grenades is quite easy, mapped to the plus button. I absolutely love the gestures for reloading (shake wiimote) and the melee (knife cut, shake nunchuck). Not only that the multiplayer gameplay kills MOH's with far less players. I've barely played the campaign past the 1st level. There is no lag whatsoever online for me, hit detection works great, headshots are great, animations are well done, awesome weapons, and perks, challenging unlockables. Its just awesome.
