[QUOTE="luludooobee111"]

there arent any good games

EmperorSupreme

Out of all the nextgen machines I would say PS3 already has the widest variety of top games.

You can't be serious. If that was true no one would be crying about a shortage of games.

But do you really think that FF will sell well on the 360

i mean i bet you many people bought the ps3 thinking about what kind of games that the systems is going to get and one of those games have to have been the next FF

Most of the FF fanbase is on the Sony brand and RPGs aren't really the 360's thing

pkm2005
RPG's weren't really the Xbox's thing. The 360 is showing that it can have more of a variety than the original Xbox. Sure the 360 still has a majority of shooters but the ratio is much smaller than last-gen. Also to say the FF fan base is on the Sony brand would be false as well. That fan base was on Nintendo 1st, then Sony. Most of them only have PS2's right now because a next-gen FF hasn't been released yet. If it is released on a cheaper system and is technically the same I think they may buy the cheaper one.

[QUOTE="ghaleon0721"]I got Oblivion over the weekend and I've logged about 3 or 4 hours so far. I'm not seeing what all they hype is about though. I mean, the game looks cool and it seems like there is a daunting amount of stuff to do and explore, but none of it seems that exciting. I'm usually into role playing games. I've thoroughly enjoyed Final Fantasy, Dark Cloud, Arc the Lad, Dragon Quest, etc, but Oblivion doesn't seem to be clicking with me. My problem is, that so far, I'm bored to death. I think in the four hours that I've played I fought maybe a dozen enemies. And of those enemies, none of them were particularly impressive. I mean how many angry rats can you slash to death? I got through the sewers and the Tutorial mission and then the game opened up. But I think that made it worse. I found a town with TONS of people to talk to and places to go. None of them were very interesting. One of them gave me a new quest called "Unfriendly competition". Some competing merchant was selling stolen goods and they wanted me to find proof. Ok, so I followed the guy out of his shop for about half an hour and all he did was walk around aimlessly. Finally he ended up in this place that we had walked past three times already and had a meeting with some other guy. After that I started following the second guy back to his house. My quest log told me to investigate his house after he left, but the guy NEVER left. I waited, and waited, and waited, and the guy never moved. I tried using the "wait" function to try his door at different times of the day, and on different days of the week. Nothing, the guy never budged. After that I decided to put that quest on hold and went exploring outside of the town. I found a cave. It was pretty big inside and looked cool. I walked around it and found nothing but unpickable locked doors and gates. Oh, and there was ONE enemy inside. No treasure. So I left the cave and decided that I was just going to go back to the main story mission and bring this amulet to the Priory. So I set it to my active quest and started walking in the direction marked on the compass. I walked, and walked, and walked, and walked. Nothing but empty wilderness. Granted it all looks nice, but so what. A few mildy perturbed wolves and crabs do not make a world come "alive". After a half hour of walking and doing NOTHING else, I saved my game and went to bed. My question is, does this game get any better? Has anyone else had this experience with the game? Does it ever pick up? I'm thinking of trading it in, but I'm worried that I might miss something. I mean Final Fantasy 12 and Kingdom Hearts 2 both started just as slowly and I ended up loving those games.

I don't think you're giving the game a fair chance. For starters the majority of the quests that can be found in the Imperial City are pretty boring/easy. You should try fast traveling to the other major cities and try to find quests there. You should also know the game difficulty is leveled. If you are at a low-level you will face low-level enemies. If you are still fighting rats & skeletons in caves you must be below level 5. Once you level up you'll start to see different creatures attack. Sure you may still see rats & skeletons but they will be few and far between. Soon you'll come across cougars, bears, minotaurs, etc... Look for some of the Daedric Shrines as those missions are usually fun. Also if you're really that bored, go into the middle of the imperial City and punch a guard in the face and try to make it out of the city alive. :)

You guys are shooting yourselves in the foot. I hope Capcom cancels the ps3 version out of spite.Videodogg
Well if they don't sell any on the PS3 they won't see another DMC. I wonder if there would be a petition like this for MGS or FF if they were to go multi-plat? I say go ahead an boycott because then there will be less games for your PS3. Then what will you cry about?

this is online, it's not like people are going over to the capcom building and protest or anything, capcom don't care if it's a online position, this will a die a slow silent death. i'm boycotting by not buying any dmc games anymore, i'm sure some will do the same, if everybody else buy except for me, atleast i'm doing atleast something. i'm just gona buy re5 from capcom and anything else that's good except for dmcddldave
You do realize RE5 is gonna be multi-plat too right?

I don't even know why you put Ninja Gaiden as a choice. A remake will sell game cases and game discs not consoles. I think it will be a game that hasn't been announced yet. MGS4 is looking too iffy at the moment.

I was outraged to see that Sony, in their infinite wisdom have awarded 120 Londoners a free television for queing up to buy their latest console offering. The result of this is as follows - 120 very happys PS3 ownersand Millions of disgruntled gamers such as myself who have no PS3 as they have priced it way out of the general publics price range and probably won't buy one as it has received nothing but bad press from its conception. Do Sony honestly beleieve they have helped their situation? Surely it would have been better to give away a game with every purchase so that instead of this being a reward for those with nothing better to do than stand in Virgin Megastores basement for hours on end, it was an apology to the European Gamers for letting us down.

And before anybody comments, i already have an HDTV, so im not jealous, this is a complaint about Sony's PR!

killeryoda85
So you're outraged that Sony gave away free HDTV's to their loyal fans that have been shafted for months? You feel this is a PR disaster? Also you feel a free game would've been better? Let me just say there is no game better than a free HDTV. The only way I could possibly see you getting upset is if you were in the line and they ran out of TVs right before they got to you. Then again you probably don't even plan on getting a PS3. Why don't you go get your gamerscore up instead of wasting your time creating useless threads....

[QUOTE="ff7isnumbaone"]This is how I see it Ps3 = Turtle 360/ wii= rabbit And you guys do know that turtle wins right?

I would say that the Sony in general is the Rabbit. They were so ahead after the last 2 generations they decided to take a nap. It seems they're waking up now but it may be too late.

I really hate it when previous Playstation owners decline to call themselves "Sony Fanboys",while the microsoft fanboys wear it like a badge of quality.sugreev2005-06
Maybe they're not fanboys, but instead just gamers or merely fans of Sony. A fanboy is more like a fanatic that can't adhere to reason. I remember back when I had my Saturn and I would defend it to death because that was what I purchased and couldn't afford a Playstation. That was being a fanboy. I couldn't see that the other system had great games. I was like why is this non-gaming company trying to act like they know something about games. When I finally got a Playstation however I realized I was wrong and soon I stopped buying games for my Saturn until I just put it back in the box and under my bed. After that I learned that I would judge the games by how good they were not by the system they're on. I became a true gamer. You shouldn't be a fan of a Company, you should be a fan of great games!

Here are some pics of the 360 Elite: http://www.consolas.com/noticias/937/galeria/ If I get a bigger HDTV I may pick this up. A lot of my friends are gonna get this thing because they buy a lot of HD movies off of the Marketplace. Even some friends who don't have a 360 yet are thinking of getting one for the movie downloads alone. I guess that's what happens when you spend your tax refund on 42" - 52" inch 1080p televisions.
