R2 and L4D are fun as hell to me

Nothing to talk about.  I beat the game twice, my first time on Hardcore, and once on Insane. 

Then I tried online and it just isn't fun like Gears 1 was.  And the matchmaking is terrible. 

They were close, but R2's ending is what pushed it ahead of Gears 2 IMO. The last boss fights were both too easy though.

Also I think Epic messed up when they decided to put in all the vehicle portions in the game. It was a drag and the controls weren't good except for the last level. I also hated that part where you had to use the turrets to protect the AVs.

Gears of War did all of that, but Gears of War 2 doesn't.

god, don't tell me your one of those "they screwed the shotgun" people...Its much more balanced, this way...gears 2 does it better, IMO. If your not, i apologise, but state your reasons.

The gameplay online isn't more balanced. The chainsaw is by far overpowered. Anybody who doesn't see this is in denial. I already stated reasons why I feel Epic dropped the ball with Gears 2.

Wow. Single player was intense from start to finish. Only thing that hurt the story was the lack of the narrator. Gameplay and pace is great. Multi has tons of replay value. Good atmosphere throughout the game also.

Yeah, I think they leave it up to the player to find out more about the story through intel. I don't think the story is bad, I think the presentation of it is what threw everybody off.

It's hard for people to grasp it. But the only thing that is considerable better in Gears 2 is the graphics.

The multiplayer is better in R2 by far. The matchmaking on Gears 2 is a joke, and Epic decided to make the game way too noob friendly. The chainsaw is ridiculous.

8 player co-op on R2 >>> Gears 2 Horde

R2's ending is far more memorable also.

Both campaigns were a blast, I'd say they were tied til the ending. I still am shocked about it.

IMO, Gears 2 tried to change and add things that weren't important to why people loved Gears 1. The adding of all the vehicle parts was overkill, the attempt to make people care what was going on with Dom was killed due to the terrible voice acting, it just wasn't believeable. I can go on and on about how much the multiplayer disappoints, if you don't believe me, just check out the Gears forum and you'll see what people are saying about the game who are real fans.

Great game with a lot of blind fanboys calling it the best ever.

Yeah, people need to check out Uncharted. It shouldn't be losing this much. I think Gears 2 graphics are overrated. I think it's 3rd out of MGS4 and Uncharted.

They all look great though.
