[QUOTE="Jonas_81"]Tekken is clearly the game Namco is prioritizing when it comes to pushing gameplay. Soul Calibur after the second game has been marginalized a lot due to the successes Tekken have brought them with Tekken 5 and Tekken 5: DR. Tekken is now stronger in Japan then it has ever been. Tekken is also a far better game then Soul Calibur to begin with.HiResDes

when it comes to core gameplay yes Tekkenis better, but when it comes to artstyle, presentation, and side features I think Soul Calibur is worlds ahead....Anyway, I really think its too close to say, I actually think the weapon system in Tekken 6 sounds more gimmicky then the inclusion of Yoga and Vader in SC IV and thats saying something.

Tekken has always had great extras in their games. Tekken Bowling? Tekken Force? Soul Calibur hasn't been AAA material since it came out on Dreamcast. Every Tekken has been great with the execption of Tekken 4. And even Tekken 4 brought new things to the table.

For me its VF > SC >DOA> Tekken, the last tekken game I couldn't put down was Tekken 3 a long time ago :).csliney

DOA better then Tekken? No. VF is the best fighter, but Tekken is second. I don't think SC4 will be balanced at all with these Star Wars fighters. I mean X360 players are basically gonna have to hit Yoda with all low attacks. *shakes head*

And DOA shouldn't even be in the same conversation with ANY of those 3D fighters.

heavenly sword = original ip

r&c = 6th in the series since the ps2

get it?

gotta love how much people are overreacting about r&c

voxware00

What does that have to do with them delivering a 6 hour game with horrible loading times? R&C beats Heavenly Sword in every category.

I may have cared about what you said if your spelling was better.

Wait. No, I wouldn't. Your post is full of the same half-ass immature whining I have read for a week now. They havent changed the world, nor will this.

If you feel that GS has to grow up, why dont you help by doing the same. Its a game. Its a toy. Its nothing that is going to have a great impact on the future of the world.

gromit007

I'm sorry bout the spelling but considering that your post wasn't grammatically perfect you should just STFU. K?

Well not really a cow, I own a 360 and PS3. I was just pointing out one of the main reasons I'm done with the sites. I even compared another PS3 game to it. So your logic is flawed.

Now I've been a member of this site since 2002. I lurked before that. I came up when the whole Cow, Lemming, Sheep, and Hermit names were created. I remember when anything under AAA became a flop on SWs and all that good stuff. It's been fun when I look back... but now I can't say that I think of Gamespot the same as I once did. I used to think that GS's reviews were superior to everybody else with a few minor setbacks. Now I can't go off of these lack luster reviews anymore. The whole bad ass moto that the site has about reviewing games isn't needed and it's a bit old.

This site hasn't grown much since I started here. It's too strict and it feels like a kid orientated board now that I have grown up. Gamespot should of never changed the review system, now they can blindly give games whatever score they want and the users of the site cannot just see exactly why the game got the score it got. The whole .5 incriment scoring system is just lame, it's too general with the amount of games that come out now.

I feel like I've been loyal to the sites reviews since I joined, now I'm done with em. The system was unique, now it's just stale. And giving great games like R&C a 7.5 makes the decision that much easier also. I rarely EVER bought a game that scored below AA status at GS. But after playing R&C for PS3 and seeing how great the game is, I just wonder how in the hell can somebody possibly give it a 7.5? The same as Conan? Heavenly Sword scored an 8 from here and R&C is clearly a better game in every single category. Reviews like that have made me think about the sites credibility. GS isn't where it used to be. I'm pretty sure people will bash me but I don't care, audios GS. You're heading in a bad direction, go back to the roots, and this is coming from a guy who's been a part of your site for 5 years.

Peace

[QUOTE="Donkey_Puncher"][QUOTE="DrinkDuff"][QUOTE="Donkey_Puncher"]

I have found no qualms with Halo 3's melee. I find the people that complain about this issue to be the people that rely on Gun butting to survive, alone.

If you're truly skilled at Halo, you don't rely on Gun gutting as a saving grace. You SHOOT them as the term FPS implies. Get over it, and learn to evolve as a player.

DrinkDuff

eh, its there for a reason. Also, at close range a melee will beat out an average rifle round, so what is the point of "evolving" as a player if the melee is going to be more effective at the given time? Whether you like it or not, melee is part of the gameplay too, and we expect it to work as much as everything else in the game. The tie-breaker range is ridiculous. No one lags by one second, so why should the melee system need to compensate that much?

To be honest, I never noticed it until people started pointed it out. I was too busy killing people tha old fashioned way by SHOOTING them. I just don't think it's that big of a deal. Sorry. :?

It doesn't happen very often but it is a little irritating when it does. And if you don't melee, someone else usually does and then you are dead. Shooting only works if you have enough distance between you and the oponent. Unfortunately, you don't always find yourself in open environments.

That's the most annoying part. If I sneak up on somebody and start shooting them because they see me at the last second and they are LAST to pull the trigger... so then they run towards me while I continue to shoot them and NOT die... Instead they just melee me and I die :|

How does that work?

[QUOTE="GoldenGlove"]It'll get ported when MS releases the HD-DVD 360. Just watch.ni6htmare01

Dont think the HD-DVD verson will be for games! Most likely is movies only

Yeah right, it'll be for games. MS would be dumb not to use it for games.
