I don't know. The gameplay sucks, single and multiplayer.

It's not laggy, but then again I have fiber optic. Joining matches takes at least a half hour (75% of the time you join a match in progress with 15-20 minutes left to go....you cannot join the game in progress). I never get into the game of my choosing (obviously), the lobby system is atrocious....it absolutely pales in comparison to the superb design of the Resistance: Fall of Man and Warhawk matchmaking/server list lobbies.

The game is a piece of crap and that's all I have to say about it. The framerate sucks, the aliasing sucks, the gameplay sucks, it's a piece of crap.

I am extremely pissed that all those reviews and all those blind PS3 "fanboys" in the PS3 forums and system wars told me to get it, and even flamed me after I said it was a terrible game with huge issues.

Redfingers

I disagree with the gameplay being bad. The game is amazing but the online structure is god awful and that's why I'm disappointed and considering getting the 360 version.

when the host makes a game there will be a lobby for ppl to join before he/she starts the game. in player matches once the host started the game you can still join in, but cant play until the game is over.

i dont know how big the community will be once halo 3 is out, but from what i seen there are still decent amount of ppl playing. ppl usually send invites to games to ppl they played with before on rainbow even if they arent on your friends list.

i think you should ask around more about it in here along with the rsv boards before you make your decision. rsv is one of my fav. games and i almost ended up buying the ps3 version as well so i could play with some1 i knew who only had a ps3.

Okay, see I have some friends that play it. And I look at there status and it says, "Joinable". So that's 209483092843028 times better then what the PS3 has with this game. Can you joinyour friends like that all the time?

as long as the room isnt filled or only the private slots are remaining. you can join other ppls game like that as well even with the ppl that were on your recent played list and arent on your friends list. all 360 online games are like that.

That's great, too bad H3 will take a lot of the regular players away. If they just released a patch for the PS3 version then I would be fine.

IMO Warhawk>>> R6Vtrizzle_a

No, Warhawk's online setup is better than R6:V's. That's the only problem with the game. If it was setup with lobbies and a simple way to just join your friends matches then it would be in my PS3 most of the time. But when you don't know what game your gettin' into and you don't know how much time is left til you get to play again it's kind of lame. Then when you find a good game the game will sometimes knock you out to the XMB! God this game could be soooo much better.

[QUOTE="BoD_GOA_French"]I played RSV from the day it came out until warhawk came out. I crashed out to the XMB a few times, but it doesn't happen that often. Laggy? never had a bit of lag in any PS3 game online. Might want to check your connection. I will agree that the no lobby setup and the only way to get into a friends game is by invite only is not borderline retarded, its just plain retarded!jwmakoto

I don't think the TC has ever played it, I've never had any lag as well on my PS3. Freezing yes, but no lag. Hopefully Sony's Free multiplayer service will get its act together with the free Home upgrade next year.

Meh that'd be Ubisoft's fault, not Sony's. Other games work fine, without lag/freezing, just a few bugs/glitches that sadly didn't get ironed out in RSV before release.

Exactly, and that's okay. But what is NOT okay is the fact that THEY know about these problems and the game has been out for months now and they STILL haven't updated it yet. Now that's just plain BS.

I haven't played it? GTFOH. The game is laggy. No denying this. It's not my connection because I can play plenty of other games with no problems (Gears of War, Warhawk, Resistance ect.) This game just really disappoints me because it's so fun but it's held back by the devs half assing it.

Seriously, this game's online feature is borderline retarded. I mean no lobbies? No joining friends matches? Laggy and sometimes crashing you out to the XMB!! WTF is that garbage! This game has been out since July and there hasn't been ONE update. And there are so many problems.

I am considering ditching this game and getting the 360 version. If you played both versions of this game can you say that the PS3 owners got the complete shaft on this? Are there lobbies on the 360 version?

I didn't even see all of what Sony did for TGS but I heard that Home got delayed til Spring and the new Dual Shocks aren't coming until Spring.... ummm that sucks, and I'm tired of this from Sony. I'm going to really start showing my 360 some love I think, especially with H3 coming out so soon :D

Yeah, I get all that, but like I said, I have planet earth on bluray and I've watched it on discovery. The 1080i (all cox communications allows) is better looking than the bluray version in 1080p. The bluray version still looksgood, but it should look as good or better than the cable version.

Trust me, I've been watching movies for decades and I understand that 300 was made to look grainy, but a digitally rendered movie like Ice age should have no grain at all. Ghost Rider, Hellboy shouldn't be grainy either. I've watched bluray movies on standalone players and they are smooth as glass. I guess I'm just expecting too much from the bluray player on the ps3, but at least the PS3 games are crystal clear and perfect. I think I'm going to have to borrow a friends bluray player and see If the movies look better on the player.

thecreechxxx

Have you seen Apocolypto on Blu-Ray? I watched that movie in 720p on accident and I was amazed at the picture quality. I thought that every Blu-Ray would be that good and boy I was wrong. You just have to look at the ratios at the back of the case. They all vary. Hopefully they'll all be on par with Apocolypto some day, because that movies looks amazing.

Now I know that this was supposed to be solved through an update a while ago, but I don't think I know how to set my PS3 to run my PS2 games properly so that they will look better. Everytime I tried to play an old game they looked blurry as hell and this was after I turned on the PS2 smoothing option. How do you get the best picture out of these games? I have a 56inch JVC HDTV 1080p native so I shouldn't be dealing with blurry PS2 games. I'm pretty sure other people have the same problem.
