360 fans saying it was not a system seller but i guess it was wasn't it.

well it sold systems but to call it a system seller like halo is nuts

but halo 3 didnt push many consoles...it sold alot of games though

Uh, it made the 360 outsell the Wii on september... and it was released on the 25th.

Nope, i disagree.

Not everyone has T1 internet connection.

angelkimne

Pretty much. I'm not keen on downloading a 6+ gb game. Much less keeping it around on the HD. Especially if we're talking consoles. Their main benefit is that I can get a launch game years into the future and just pop it in, no hassle, no installs.

No desire to redownload it. I'm not saying that the whole idea of Digital Distribution should be anathema and their proponents burnt at the stake - I actually use and enjoy steam's service, and am an avid XBLA consumer - but there's a huge difference between "I believe that Digital Distribution is a good idea" to "Alternatives to DD have outlived their usefulness".

It's ok. Can't complain too much, since it's free and you can game (not that it helps me at all. I suck beyond measure at Resistance multi :p).

My only issues with it stem more from the downright unfriendliness inherent in some aspects of the OS, which hamper my enjoyment of the PSN. Aside from what I've been hearing about MGO, these are basically mild annoyances, not a single dealbreaker.

]yes its even better then what is shown for gears 2 as it seems it only works when your dead and has a far away view.

Plug in a k/b and press print screen any time in mutiplay, pics go right to the XMB:)

killzowned24

Interesting, I had no idea that was even possible. Sucks, since I don't think I've got a USB keyboard alive at the moment. Might try it once I get a new one.

Decent composition, but if you knew anything about music production, they are obviously using VSTS and synths and not a real orchestra. Doesn't compare to the epicness that is the soundtrack to Heavenly Sword or better yet, Metal Gear. Harry Gregson-Williams ftw.

Halo has some cool songs, but that one you linked sounds way too MIDI for me.

excelR83

Erm... actually, I believe that one was recorded with an orchestra. I'm pretty sure there's a video of the session, both in the special edition extras and in a Vidoc. Maybe it's the encoding quality.

[QUOTE="hopesfall2own"]Gears2 improvements: Graphics are retouched and looked better, 5 player co op online (horde mode), new party system for friends, new screenshot ability like halo (you got that in ps3?), new grappling and shields add mobile cover, stopping power makes medium range battles a possibility, new ability to do proximity mines with grenades..then all the new campaign and other weaponry additions..what did resistance improve on? killzowned24

You do know in Resistance1 can take screenshots right...lol

Really? how?

I'm serious, I have the game and have never seen that feature (then again, I've never really paid much attention to the menus, other than the journal).

um doesnt resistance have like an unprecedented 64 players online?

40. Hardly unprecedented. Above average, maybe, and a bizarre number. I recall 64 on the original xbox, anyway.

Define "best".

Personally, I'll go with the Covenant. Mainly because they're always fun to fight. I love their AI, and not because of the "tactics" department, but because of the amount of bizarre stuff they do. Like sticking a grunt and seeing him run at this squad asking for help while everyone breaks into a running panic.

Basically, they're fun and funny to see and to fight against

Oh, and we know very well where the chimera came from. They're crazed russians. Those cooling tanks in the back? Vodka.

To all the idiots posting games for the 360 that aren't on PC:

We know there exist games on the 360 that aren't on PC. Stop restating the obvious. The point is that so many of the 360 games are available (and better) on the PC that it isn't worth it to own a 360.

I completely agree. My 360 isn't even hooked up right now. I'll be selling it in the next week. It was, hands down, the least played console I've ever bought.

Funny. You don't like "idiots" sending your argument down the drain?

Sounds ridiculous, doesn't it?

The point all these "idiots" are making is that it can be worth it to have BOTH a PC and a 360. The 360 has enough exclusives to make it worth it under those alone. You're just spouting nonsense.

Your Brain, it's there for a reason.

[QUOTE="jg4xchamp"]Anyway if you get a gaming PC do you really need a Wii or PS3? no not really. The library for the PC dwarfs the PS3 and Wii as well. And if we play "but the exclusives" game

Fine

Halo 3
Forza 2
Banjo Nuts and BOlts
Perfect Dark Zero
PGR 3, PGR 4
Viva Pinata Trouble in Paradise
Lost Odyssey
Star Ocean 4
Tales of Vesperia
Infinite Undiscoverey
Ninja Gaiden 2
Dead Rising
Too Human
Gears of War 2(for now atleast)
Fable 2
Saints Row
and a bunch of others are only exclusive to the 360

Plus there are the multiplats that PC didn't get

like
Virtua Fighter 5
Soul Caliber 4
Burnout Paradise(not sure why on this one)
The Darkness(how the hell did this not go on PC?)

If anything the 360 has offered a PC gamer far more than the PS3 and Wii so far. Philmon

There is no point in comparing 360 AAAE and AAE game library to the PC simply because it is way ahead. I mean the PC has only 5 less AAAE that the total number of 360 AAA, and only 11 less AAE than the total number of 360 AA, so even if you add the games that are not on the PC to the 360s exclusives list the PC would still be ahead. Not to mention that it works both ways and the PC would end up with additional AAAE and AAE.

Congratulations, you sidestepped the argument by stating the blindingly obvious, which he had acknowledged.

He stated two things:

1.- Under the OP's argument, both the PS3 and the Wii go out the wayside. Why pick on the 360?

2.- What if you want to play the 360's exclusives (along with multiplats the PC doesn't get)? That's the case of a lot of people. I want me Halo 3. I want me Dead Rising. I can go on. The PC and 360 do not fully overlap. You can justify the purchase of a 360 just by it's exclusives, even if you have a PC.

Why do hermits keep talkin about crysis?

i get the feeling that its the only good game they have

consolites have so much more to talk about

sdu_1111

Because it's the prime example of the PC's graphical capabilities? Much like cows can't seem to shut up about KZ2's graphics and lems can't seem to shut up about GeoW2 graphics?.

Nahh... that would just make way too much sense.
