I've had mine since March 06 and it works fine. I have a really hard time believing they breakdown as much as everyone on here posts.

Renegade_Fury

At the height of the problem retailers reported as high of a 33% failure rate. A quick google will bring up multiple sources for that figure.

They're fun little extras, but not necessary when a game can stand on its own without them. And I have a small rant about the RE5 trophies. I think it's bull **** that you have to buy the DLC costumes or whatever to get 100%.

IronBass

You don't have to buy anything to get the 100%.

Go and compare the trophies to someone else on your friends list. Even if you have the platinum it will say 85% complete.

Just a thought guys, but maybe the people who are designing this returant are not the same ones making the game. I mean really, I would think a company can do two different things.
These "HAR HAR FOCUS ON GAME FIRST!!1111!!!" comments are a bit silly.

All the same sounds like a really cool idea, if there was one near me I would probably eat there a lot. :P

The Fact is Killzone 2 took over 3 years to make. Guerilla Games increased their staff (more salaries to pay) and SONY has payed a buttload on marketing.

Blue-Sky

The Fact is that despite all the arm flailing and damage control done by fanboys, not a SINGLE one has EVER been able to produce any evidence what so ever that it cost upwards of 60 million to make.

It is completely speculation, that is fact.

I am still waiting for proof on the 60 million number, considering all the fanboys here who would be DYING to get a crack at this game you would imagine it would be thrown all around the place.

Funny thing is... it's not.

What does that tell you? ;)

And no, I'm not an animal rights activist. I just don't understand people's fascination with shooting a buch in the head and think putting that head on a wall is a "trophy" to show off. I'm all in favour of eating and using what you actually do hunt, it is more the notion that hunting is less and less a "sport" and more and more a way for people to feel a false sense of empowerment.InsaneBasura

Sometimes when I get bored I stand out on the back deck with my M1 carbine and shoot at squirrels, rabbits, any critter that runs out of the woods, etc. I do not eat it but my dogs sure do love it, does that count?
I personally do not "hunt" but I know many people who do and they are not all "drunk gun toting rednecks". My uncle who is a nuclear engineer for Duke Power hunts turkey and deer on a regular basis.

Hopefully you were exaggerating, resorting to sterotypes is a bit tasteless. I forgive you all the same. :)

Wow.... I know that it can be fun to shoot and blow **** up, but to kill animals because you're bored is {insert assorted bannable offenses}. What do you live in barbarian land?

"Barbarian Land"...? For shooting tree rats?

I live about 15 min from a city, so out in the countryside a bit you could say. There is a field across from me and my backyard once you walk out enough is encircled by woods. As you might can imagine we are in no short supply of squirrels. They make decent moving target practice and are pretty fun to get some practice with.

The dogs enjoy playing with them as well.

An excellent move? I'd file it in the "Who gives two **bleep**s about the PS2 any more?" bin.DJ_Lae

My Grandparents bought one last month and my cousins (14 and 16 year old girls) got one as a present a few months ago.

It still has a lot of support from Sony with new games being released on it and is still a very popular "casual" system. My cousins play it just as much as they do their Wii.
