1- The system is still being outpaced by the Wii by a substantial margin.

2- Microsoft spending money can be looked at in its negative monopoly like way(which will be done) or we can look at it in a more productive way in that they have shown so much more ambition than Sony. Microsoft has shown no sign of giving up in Japan. From helping Mistwalker, to getting all the JRPGs they got, to making sure Ninja Gaiden 2 was exclusive.

3- The 360s library is stilll far ahead of the PS3, to top it off the 360 continues a steady flow of exclusives, multiplats, xbla games, and great content

4- Xbox Live is still far ahead of the PS3. PS3 is getting thoe Live like features, but Live is consistantly the leader. Everything Microsoft has done with live is usually take an idea and make it better(avatars)

5- Microsoft 1st party this gen has outperformed Sony 1st party so far this gen.

6- The software sales are Microsofts favors.

7- 360s great perfomance has forced devs to always put a game on the 360 almost negating the option to stay PS3 exclusive without money from Sony. Making this a battle of 1st party exclusives. and THE ONLY System Seller franchise Sony owns(meaning 3-4 million seller or better) is Gran Turismo 5. Where as Microsoft had Halo, and just stared Gears of War.

8- Playstation 3 is still expensive. Great value, but expensive.

9- Playstation 3 games aren't showing the gap in horsepowere that was hyped for so long.

10- Microsoft is owning the U.S. Hardcore gamer market, and the more casual content is more successful on the 360 than PS3.

PS3 may one day outsell the 360. But by no means will it dust the 360. Microsoft has made this a war. A battle to the finish. They could be neck and neck or within 5 million of each other until 2011 or 2012 with the way this war has been.

Just to throw in my 2 cents about point 5 and 7. Sony makes better 1st party games then MS. They have a great mix of old IP's like socom, God of war, and killzone and new IP's such as Motorstorm, Uncharted, Infamous, and soon to be MAG.

And they have more than 1 system seller, God of war, motorstorm both count as system sellers by your standards. everything else you stated seems to be your opinion and i really can't disagree with that although IMO the PS3 started showing the gap in power when RAC:Tod and uncharted was realsed and continued with MGS4 :)

the only thing that would bother me if I got mgs4 is that i dont really know the story line, so I would be completly lost =\thecman129

Yeah but FF has not been what its know for either lately. I have not seen an FF game really live up to the hype since FFX and thats been 7 years or so ago so I can't really say how good FFXIII will be. And its not just the FF games for SE its pretty much every rpg. Rpgs in general have not been what they were in the past. I can go back and play some snes and ps1 games and then I play the rpgs now a days and wonder where did things go wrong?

I'm not saying the game is going to be bad but if the games isn't good it won't sell. I really think its a good move to make it multiplat because it encourages the company to work that much harder to make a good game so they can make money like cod4 game.

Squaresoft merged with enix. I think that has alot to do with this whole thing, SE's quality of games have gone down since then, but i did enjoy FFXII though

Tekken is the Best hand to hand 3d fighter IMO. It doesn't promote button mashing and there is really alot of depth to the series.

People with that mod argument makes me laugh... I have it on PC and cannot care less about the mods...actually, I don't really care about the game because its just hard to find a full game... The 360 has some hope thanks to the gears followers that might buy it... And if its the case and games are full, then i'll plan on getting it...usule

yes you might not care about the mods but the reason people play unreal tournament for so long is because of the mods. It the same thing with Starcraft and warcraft 3( and i mean the ability to make custom maps on those games).
