The worst hardware always had the best software, thats why it sold the most. with the exception of this gen.DBhova23Perhaps the Wii does have the best software for everyone. The Core gamer is only a small (very small) part of the gamer demographic.

New Franchises that are really good IMO are.
Wii
No More Heroes... the first game has some problems, but it was still very fun, and had great humor.
Mad World... Too short, but I'd be glad to play a sequel.
de Blob... Very Solid game, hope they make more.
Red Steel... The first wasn't a great game, but I still was able to enjoy parts of it, looking forward to the sequel.
PS3
Dead Space... This game was just a little less fun then RE4... and much more fun then RE5
Uncharted... Hell's Ya.
BioShock... Not sold on BioShock 2 yet....
Little Big Planet... Bring on my content, longer more solid story mode and I'll be happy.
Mirrors Edge... Game has potential, but the first game... well it's just too short and a little to annoying at times.
No, I reckon DS and PC have better RPGsclembo1990The DS has better RPGs... and the Wii is catching up rather quickly... I don't think that the Xbox will be the king of RPG's at the end of the gen. At least not the king of JRPG's.
No, I want the details. What you may think is a negative point for a game, I may like or not care about, e.g., random battles in JRPGs.karristonExactly. Everyone is different, no two people are not the spy.
I love how everyone is giving the GC so much credit for how powerful it was now... when last it got no respect for it's power.Thank you exactly, the WII is a nintendo gamecube in disguise, and with a new controller. [QUOTE="DonMarkito"]
I dont even consider the wii as a current gen console... If you want compare the wii with something then compare it to the PS2 which actually better

Didn't buy the first one... Likely I won't buy the second one... I've considerd the first... but it's likely just not my thing.
Keep dreaming.
You used total log in's for CoD4... vs Active player for World of Warcarft...
There are less active players for CoD4 and More Total log in's for World of Warcraft...
You can't use two diffrent measures and call one the winner...
Almost none of those apply to Wii Music or Wii Sports Resort[QUOTE="lolfiretruck"][QUOTE="cowgriller"]
the definition is self explanatory. a low production quality game is a game that not only has poor graphics, but also has several very noticeable bugs that would normally be resolved during the debugging/finalisation of the game. most games have bugs in one form or another, but to leave in bugs that are obvious, like clipping issues, poor translations from one language to another, etc. that's just wrong and shows lack of workmanship (production value).
an uninformed gamer is one that doesn't take the time actually learn about the game, to see ahead od time what it's about before deciding whether to buy it or not. once again, it's self explanatory.

as per glitches, no. as per reason for being made, it's sole intention, yes. it can still be considered shovelware. btw, wii sports resort is only to showcase the wiimote+ adaper which would technically make it a tech demo. being that's it more well-rounded than a simple tech demo, it's not a demo but it can still be considered as shovelware.
It's designed to expand the market... not make a quick buck... and the games are sold... for what they are... Maybe they aren't your kind of game... but that doesn't mean the games aren't good at what they set out to do.[QUOTE="Cherokee_Jack"]
[QUOTE="Hungry_Jello"]The developers of Too Human were making that game for 14 years and it was still bad.Hungry_Jello
You don't know what the word "shovelware" means. It isn't a synonym for bad. It describes a game that was rushed to market with minimal effort and attention to quality; in other words, just for a quick buck
Too Human is a great example of a game that is (arguably) bad, but not shovelware. No one in their right mind would spend that much money and time developing a shovelware game.
Wii Music looks like a game made for a quick buck to me. Same for Sports Resort. Honestly, neither of us have any idea how much effort goes into these games.
No we don't know... but Nintendo worked on them for awhile... and the games are polished for what they are... and they aren't to make a quick buck... they are to designed to expand the market... which is why they go to great detail to polish the games....Sports Resort also must have taken a while to produce because of the MW+ and programing for that... and it seems not to be fully of bugs...
