Investors don't play games therefore they fail at evaluating press conferences.PS2_ROCKSEveryone wants press conferences to be exciting as playing games... ... but why should they be entertaining... they are about information... perhaps this is why people are wondering about Sony and Microsoft... and keep going back to them for questions... when no one is asking anything of Nintendo.... because they actually use their press conference as a press conference...

It could be...because there were some really funny parts of the confrence... but this video isn't cut right at all... it's terribly done.[QUOTE="GundamGuy0"][QUOTE="Tragic_Kingdom7"]
It's seems like you're trying awfully to create a Sony 06 dynamic that is just not there.

Well, mcgreddy is a pretty extreme fanboy, so my theory is probably correct. I mean, he actually thinks "definitive racing game..." is a funny quote. Why is that supposed to be funny? It just sounds like a developer hyping their product to me. For all mcgreddy knows, it might very well be the definitive racing game. We don't know yet as it hasn't shipped.
I agree, he didn't focus on they funny... If you cut this down to two min, made it move faster... and got rid of the stuff that isn't funny at all... then it would be much better.[QUOTE="mcgreddy"]
Owned at numerous occasions, some of the best were :
"But i did not say anything about Shorid Shnake !"
"Definitive racing game.."lmfao
"BAM !! there it is...." lol
regarding project natal : "We are showing it behind CLOSED doors at E3" rofl
"L4D2 Exclusive for 360 and also on PC dvd "

Sony had the content but it needed tightening up. Nintendo was just aweful as usual. The actual announcements were OK but the conference its self was just the worst thing i think i have ever seen bar 2008. BoloTheGreatThey had a good press conference... but that doesn't mean it can't be funny too, and Nintendo did good... it was dry, but the info was there... why do gamers expect the press conference... something for the press to be exciting and geared towards them... MS does it... Sony kind of does it... Nintendo doesn't gear it towards gamers... and Nintendo gets looked down on for it... weird.
what hermit need to understand is lemmings dont want to exclude pc of system war , they want to claim ownage on cow .legol1And that's why they fail. You can't change the rules just to claim ownage.

[QUOTE="GundamGuy0"][QUOTE="wmc540" You don't really understand the concept of a poll... do you?wmc540I do, and all internet polls are biased and unreliable because the sample isn't random. I am pretty sure anyone interested in gaming could vote at the CNET poll. Sure... but then it's biased. It's not random if everyone has a common trait who votes...

Thought I'd put in my two cents on all the motion sensing announcements from Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo. I think Microsoft is trying to copy Sony's Eye Toy, Sony is trying to copy Nintendo's Wii-mote and Nintendo is trying to fix their broken Wii-mote.
I know motion sensing stuff is all the rage and Nitnendo's massive sales figures prove it. Certainly it is all about money and I can't blame any of them for going after the money but so far I don't see much fun in it. Microsoft's new add on seems a lot like eye toy and I can't say I've seen too much good going on there. Sony's new add on is apparently an add on for an odd on. I'm not so sure that's a good idea economicaly speaking (though I'm sure they'll have a bundle option). In any event, it really seems to mainly be a rip off of Nintendo's Wii-Mote which, despite coming with the console, doesn't seem to have been put to much good use in games thus far. So far I just don't think the Wii Mote has the precition it needs to be a viable controller for actual games which brings us to Nintendo's new motion sensing add on. Will it make the controller workable for more than just stick waggling games?
I know I just pissed off some fanboy from each of the systems but I wanted to give my two cents. I call 'em like I see 'em.

metroid prime coruption had awesome controles, it wasent broken :|
There are a ton of really good games that made good use of the Wii-remote... which fanboys just can't help but overlook...[QUOTE="Tylendal"][QUOTE="desmondsultanas"]A gimmick implies it has no lasting appeal. If it had no lasting appeal why would its competitors be copying it three years later?majadamus"an ingenious or novel device, scheme, or stratagem, esp. one designed to attract attention or increase appeal." There's the dictionary definition for Gimmick. I don't know when gimmick started being a negative word. I know. It's strange how fanboys can make anything seem like a bad thing. I don't think you can call Motion Control a gimmick anymore... because it's standard now...
