What do you expect CLASSIC ROCK stations to play....NEW music?! that kinda defeats the purpose. When classic rock artists release new albums, the stations play them. I don't think the majority of classic radio station listeners are tuning in hoping to hear a new "hot" single.

Thats like going to an antique shop to find something..."Good rap" is a few and far behind. You need to search high and low for it. Unlike rock, where all the genres are much more easily accessible. And, like I posted previously, I'm not bashing anything. I am comparing the 2 mediums. I never said rap sucks and consoles blow, It was a comparative argument using games and music.

This thread belongs in the garbage. TC, you obviously have no knowledge on hip-hop if you think it is all about mansions, women, rims, drugs. Rap/Hip-Hop is just as if not more poetic than Rock, it's just in a completely different way. It's like comparing cheese and wine.

Let's take the big kahuna of video games...Super Mario Bros. and compare it to Halo. For comparative reasons, lets just compare the core mario games. Mario Bros. 1, 2, and 3 against Halo 1, 2, 3...make it more balanced

Super Mario Bros. was released in 1985, and has sold 40.23 million copies. Super Mario Bros. 2 was released in 1988 and sold 10 million copies, and Super Mario Bros. 3 was released in 1990 and has sold 18 million copies. Adding the 3 games comes to 68.23 million copies so far....pretty impressive, now lets look at the Halo games:

Halo debuted in 2001 and sold 5 million copies. Halo 2 was released in 2004 with 8 million sales, and last but not least, Halo 3, released in 2007, which sold 8.1 for a grand total of 21.1 million copies sold....not looking to good for Halo lovers.

Super mario Trilogy = 68.23 million sales. 1985-2008 (23 years)

Halo Trilogy = 21.1 million sales. 2001-2008 (7 years)

Now you can't have an accurate comparison with those numbers. Mario has been out for 16 more years than Halo. So let's do a per-year-sale comparison:

68.23/23=2.97 so as a whole, the Mario Trilogy has sold 2.97 million copies per year.

21.1/7=3.01 so as a whole, the Halo trilogy sold 3.01 million copies per year.

Wait...what's this !? Halo outselling Mario?! BLASPHEMES!?! Based on these statistics, Halo is one of the best selling video games of all time. And I never said Halo was the biggest selling console game, I said it was PROBABLY the biggest selling console game...PROBABLY...because I wasn't sure.
