I have my xbox hooked up to my monitor, so having a M/KB setup would be ideal. I too hate playing games with no M/KB. If they had strong support for gamepads AND PC controls, it would make things so much simpler. You wouldn't have to tweak the UI for PC releases, you could get rid of things like auto-aim, you could integrate "type chat" into games, which I REALLY miss not having on consoles. Sending text messages would be easier, you might actually see things like a console version of WoW, and you could finally put the rest the controller vs mouse debate.

The best thing I found for M/KB support on consoles is the XIM360: http://xim360.com/?page_id=9

but I think it is only for xbox 360, and it has like a$185 pricetag. You can see some videos here http://xim360.com/?page_id=6

the console version is good, the the PC version is great. The PC version has: zooming in and out and an isometric view, which is a big tactical advantage in party based games. the toolset editor superior graphics streamlined UI that takes advantage of superior controls, and makes things like battles, navigating, positioning you party run MUCH smoother. menus and inventory access is much easier Just playing the game, it feels like a PC game...you can tell it is meant to be played on PC. There is a reason it got a 9.5 on PC and an 8.5 on xbox.

ok, if your talking about doing a repair install from the xp cd, I can't. Everytime the xp disk loads up all the software and is just about to load the actual program, it crashes to blue screen. If there is another type of repair install, let me know. I used Acronis Disk Doctor to to try and f0rmat C: drive, and it crashes with an error also. I did get it to load in safe mode, and all my partitions were in tact. I f0rmatted C: drive, reboot, and xp disk still crashes. Like I said, Acronis still recognizes the HD, and so does my mobo.

I have the following error when trying to boot into windows xp:

Couldn't open drive multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)

NTLDR: Couldn't open drive multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)

I know this error is common when reformatting or installing a new OS, but I already had XP installed for awhile. I was posting on the forums, when the xp suddenly closes to the desktop, then goes to black. I try to reboot, and then I get the error. It reads th HD in the BIOS, so I don't think it is bad. I tried switching the SATA cable to a different slot and got nothing. I tried running Recovery Console from the xp disk, but it crashed to blue screen when it's about to load. I plugged in my old, dying HD, and it boots on that one.

So what are my options here? This HD is less than a yr old, so like I said, I don't think it is bad. The thing I'm really confused at is how and when the error occurred....at random, while posting on a forum. Thanks in advance to all who help.

I'm looking to upgrade my system to an i7. I will be using 6gb of DDR3 RAM, so I decided to (unfortunately) go with Vista 64. I was planning on using my HD from my current system in the new PC. So, can I install Vista on my current drive, or will I have to install on a brand new drive? My current HD is 500gb, partitioned C - G drives, with C: being used only for windows and system files, and all the drives are NTFS. If I **** C: drive, will Vista install, or will there be conflicts?

I don't so much want games to flop, I just want games to be acknowledged for what they are,and sell for what they are worth. So when games like Halo (most overrated game in history) sells a bajillion copies, I get a bit upset knowing that games like the original DOOM are more fun.

Eventually you won't need a controller because you will be using your mind. The Holodeck from Star Trek is how I like to think of what gaming could be like.

Ever since i bought (yes, it's a legit copy) DS2 way back when I bought it, I could never get it to connect online. I've had multiple router/modem combo's, different firewall/AV programs, even different ISP's, and it still never worked. I've tried disabling my firewall/AV, added DS2 to the exception lists, even tried a clean boot, and nothing will work. Playing the original DS was no problem online, but the sequel....

The only thing I can think of is that when I try to join a game, the host has a different version than I do. I can't connect through Gamespy OR regular internet. I would REALLY like to finally resolve this issue on such a an old game, seeming as the main reason I bought it was to play it online.
