I went the other way. I wasn't that interested but the beta has made it a must buy for me. I wish it had a story mode but these games are played 90% online then 10% campaign anyway. I'd almost rather the company push more resources to the MP and skip a mediocre SP.

The final game will have a "MP campaign" mode.

...they're using the same engine...

CoD uses the IW engine, which is based off the idtech engine(s). It has been this way since CoD 2 - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IW_engine

The original CoD actually used a highly modified idtech 3 engine - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Call_of_Duty_%28video_game%29

Titanfall uses the Source engine - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Titanfall

two completely different engines.

The rest of your comment wasn't worth commenting on, since it was just angry rant and opinions.

If anyone who owns or has used the Razer Naga mouse, I hope you can answer some questions.

How is when you're not playing MMO's?

When you're not using the side buttons, can your thumb rest comfortably on them?

How is for FPS games?

Can the side buttons be mapped in non-MMO games, or for general use, like for cut, paste, reload page, etc.?

How is the learning curve with the side buttons?

And is there anything else you would like to add about the mouse for potential buyers?

Thanks in advance.

"Hmm…..I would wager that…I know Microsoft is a huge fan of Kojima……I actually have no knowledge on any of this, but my guts as a gamers told me that you would see a Metal Gear Solid game on Xbox 360 before you see a Gears of War game on the PS3″

For everyone who hasnt picked up on the hint yet, it's not happening cows ;)

Thank God. Why would PS3 owners want a stale series on their system?

To match all the other games on PS3.

@H0RSE: When does online behavior have to do with tactics and cooperation in a online match. As far as i know jerks and idiots are not cooperative and don't listen or give out any tactics to anyone. They just do their own thing.

the last.fm is good, but it exits into like its own page. I would have been much better if you could activate whenever, like while playing a game.

[QUOTE="H0RSE"]my suggestion is do what GAMES are made for...to have fun. Those super serious "play to win" types are what plagues XBL, and essentially ruins games for the rest of us.vashkey
Did it ever occur to you that some people think winning is fun? Just because don't play like you doesn't mean it's wrong. So long as they don't talk trash I don't see what the problem is.

Unsportsmanship is another thing that plagues online gaming....and it "coincidentally" goes hand in hand with the "serious, play to win" types. People who play to win, love competition. They also, obviously, love winning. They want to be number one, whether it be in sports, gaming, or whatever. So to answer your question, "Did it ever occur to you that some people think winning is fun?"

Yes it has, and "playing to win" and thinking wining is fun is not the same thing. If you have a kid that keeps losing game after game, and then finally wins one, Yeah, it will make him happy. Now take that same kid, and now he is playing to win...If you are playing to win, and you keep losing game after game, chances are, you're going to be a miserable, frustrated, trash talking a-hole. And then when you finally win a game, you're gonna make sure to let everyone know that you are awesome, and they are not.

Typically in gaming, the "play to win" mindset and behavior is coupled with trash talking, as sort of a macho, alpha male instinct. They want to let you know that they have "1337 skillz" and you're just a "dumb noob." I mention this to address your quote "So long as they don't talk trash I don't see what the problem is," Because if someone is PLAYING to win, there is a good chance it will be accompanied by some degree of trash talking. When a person's prime goal is to win, when they make winning and "being the best" their prime agenda when they game, they tend to develop a sense of cockiness, whether they are doing well in a game or not. I mean, if a player is playing to win, what happens if they're not winning? Now the "winning" turns into "whining."

I am 28 yrs old, and been playing online since the days of dial up. I have found through my experiences with online gamers, that players who play to win, are typically sore losers, and sore winners as well. I would like to emphasize that there is a difference between people who play to win, and people who just win a lot when they play. I have played with a ton of players that are really good at games, but it means nothing to them. They don't play to win, they just happen to be good at games. I have noticed players with this type of mindset are usually laidback and casual, and could really care less if they place in first place, or what their K/D ratio is.

I didn't say what I said because I was upset someone didn't play a game like I did. I said it becasue through my experiences gaming, the "play to win" types are the sore losers, the whiners, and the trash talkers. They are the reason that in the rare instances when I play competitve online, I don't even bother using a headset.
